Story
Copper is 13-years old and a great dog. We rescued Copper as a puppy from a shelter. He loves routine. We need to sell our home and cannot take him where we are going. He deserves a good home that he can live his remaining years. He is somewhat a food hound. He will not turn any food down. When Copper is ready to go to bed at night, he can get a little cranky if you disturb him. He has always been that way even as a puppy. Copper is loving and very sweet. He loves affection and will expect lots of petting from his new owner.

Story
McKenna is a lovely dog! She is very much interested in what her mom & dad are doing at all times. She can be a little skittish and timid. She likes routine. She does not like when one of her parents aren't home. McKenna likes to go to work with her mom everyday. She lays on the rug right next to mom's desk as her mom currently works from home. She doesn't really know a stranger as she is sure to stop and meet everyone who comes along when taking her walks. McKenna is a very easy does and has never been aggressive, ever! She makes a good companion for sure!

Story
My Adoption Fee is Now Fully Sponsored Thanks to an Anonymous Donor cuz I am such a good girl! Hello- My name is Mon Cherie. I was found at the bottom of a hay pit where I had sought safety in order to deliver my 7 precious babies. I am a gentle soul and appear to have lab and pointer in my mix, best guess. I weigh about 55lbs and am estimated at 2-3 years old. I’ve raised my babies and they are all happy in their own furever homes; so now I can focus on me and my future! I truly don’t like messes in my kennel; we can work together to establish a routine and finish my potty training. I walk very well on leash, sit for treats and take them very gently. I typically get along with other dogs (proper introductions, please) and don’t even mind the rescue cats. I just attended an event at a very busy store and was very well-behaved! My $250 adoption fee is now zero thanks to a generous donor and includes all of the medical care I received, vet exams, up to date vaccines, deworming, heartworm test (negative) and microchip -all already done. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. Story
Hello- my name is Anna. My sister, Elsa, and I were found in the Redlands area of Miami trying to survive on our own when it was so cold and rainy outside. We are young, estimated at 1-1.5 years old, and appear to have some lab/weimeraner in our mix (best guess). I last weighted in at 53 lbs. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan found us and reached out to Guardians for help. Now that I've received all of the medical and general care I needed, I am looking for a family to share my future with - could it be you? While still just a little shy with strangers, I love to give hugs once I know you. I have a sensitive personality but really want to please you- we just have to work together to communicate expectations. I do walk pretty good on leash and take treats very gently. Potty training is still a work in progress; but establishing a routine/schedule should help me get it down.My $250 adoption fee includes vet check, up-to-date vaccinations, spay, heartworm test (negative), microchip and deworming. Story
Hello- my name is Amal. I'm estimated at close to 2 years old and last weighted in at 50 lbs. I was found in a remote area of Miami trying to care for my babies that I delivered in the middle of nowhere. I was extremely scared and shy. Another rescue took me and my puppies in, but they incorrectly labeled me as "feral" and did not want to take the time to work with me. I deserved better, so Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue took me in and provided all of the time, love and patience to help me come out of my shell and learn to trust humans again. Over the last ten months, I made a little bit of progress day by day, week by week, month by month. My shyness and fear have greatly improved, but I'll still need a quiet home that does not have a lot of traffic or activity for me to acclimate to a new environment. I have learned to walk well on leash, which was a whole new concept for me. I love being around smaller dogs, but can be a little selective with dogs my size as some can be a bit more intimidating - so like other adoptable dogs, existing pets will need to come to the meet and greet to see how we get along, I'm a very sweet girl and while I am much more social and comfortable now, overcoming my fear and shyness is still a work in progress. I am needing someone who is willing to be patient and take the time with me as I continue to learn “how to dog".My $150 adoption fee includes vet check, up-to-date vaccinations, spay, heartworm test (negative), microchip and deworming.
