She is located in Houston TX and will not be transported until the adoption is finalized. If you are interested, please fill out an application at recycleddogsrescue.org. Story
Java is a friendly, fashionable, and fun 4-year-old girlie. She’s athletic, full of energy, and loves playing fetch, walks in nature, chasing rabbits, and swimming; but most of all, she loves cuddles! She is smart and loves to play in the snow, and lay in the sun. Her favorite treats are chicken and quinoa, and cold coconut water on a hot day. Java loves warm soapy baths and is a perfect smedium size for any home. She would thrive with someone who enjoys the outdoors, or with a family who has a house and big backyard with playful children or other dogs to keep her active. I unfortunately work two jobs and will soon start a doctorate program, so I am unable to give her adequate time, but hoping the right family can love her up!

Meet Darla, The sweetest pup you will ever meet. As long as there are unlimited pets and treats she’ll enter any contract. Unfortunately, I need to let her go because my busy schedule no longer allows me to give her the attention she deserves. Darla is very good with children. At first she’ll need some time to warm up to new people but once she makes herself comfortable it’ll be hard to get her off you. She loves long walks with minimal running. Super smart pup that understands both Spanish and English commands. If you are interested or have any questions feel free to reach out.

Story
A generous donor has offered to sponsor half of Louie's adoption fee to help him find his forever home, so his adoption fee is $225! Good with: Dogs Not good with: Cats Not tested with: Kids House trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Noise level: Some Hey there, I'm Louie and I'm here to charm my way into your heart and home! Let me tell you a little about myself. First things first, I'm a big fan of food and treats. I mean who isn't right? Lucky for you, this makes me super easy to train! When it comes to walks, I'm an easygoing guy. I don't pull much, and I love taking my time to sniff all the sniffs along the way. Ive got some training under my belt. Ask me to show you my sit, down, spin, and shake! Potty training? Nailed it! Just be sure to pay attention to my cues. I'm working on solidifying some more commands but I'm a quick learner, so I'll get there in no time. Fun fact: Im SO food motivated that when I see my food bowl, Ill RUN into my crate, ready for my meals. If you work from home, I may just be the pup for you. Im a great WFH buddy. If youve got a dog bed (or couch!) in your office, Ill just curl up and snooze while you work. I wont bother you during any meetings/calls. Do you like being outdoorsy? Me too! Ive even been camping before. I love going on long walks and being outside. Bonus, if youre a runner! One of my previous fosters loves to run and would take me along. She said Im a good running buddy! Dont worry though! Running isnt a requirement. After a long walk or run, I'm more than happy to cuddle up and snooze next to you on the couch. Despite my size, I can curl up into a tiny little croissant! Im currently fostered with 2 foster (dog) sisters and get along great with them! I would do best in a home without a cat or other small animal. Sometimes I get too excited and while I seem to be ok with kids petting me, I would do best in a home with older or no children. Overall, I'm a leash-trained, house-trained, playful, affectionate and eager-to-please pup. I get along great with most other dogs. Im a younger pup, just over a year old, so Im not into biting shoes or anything else you have laying around. So, if youre looking for a goofy and loving companion to join your family, Im your guy! My foster guardian says: He is a handsome pup, SMART as heck, and wild about snacks. If you want to get a peek into my day-to-day life, come check me out on my foster sisters Instagram @Vixie.and.Luna" Likes: Food, treats, sniffing, exploring the outdoors My ideal home: A house would be best and bonus if theres a yard for me to play in! Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Story
This handsome bobtailed boy is called Stevie, short for Steve Cropper.  He was found on a very hot and dry August day the first of August and honestly he was near death from lack of food and water.  The asphalt was treacherously hot and his body was not holding up in all the 100+ degree heat.   A kind soul who is in the music industry took him home but honestly could not house him for more than a few days due to heavy travel and being on the road with his music obligations.  Some people told him to do just take him to a shelter (they are full) and lie about him trying to bite a child.  That way they would take him and put him to sleep for safety of the community.  This could not have been the fartherest thing from the truth.  A wonderful foster for Critter Cavalry was contacted and she absolutely jumped at the chance to help Stevie.   No regrets for one minute that she did either.  He is a wonderful  1 year, 50 pound boy that is  Lab/Aussie/Pit mix and possesses the most caring heart and kindest spirit.  He plays with everyone at the doggie daycare and wags that nub of a tail as fast as he can wag it when greeting people.  He is a dog that didn’t deserve to be euthanized when all the options were not exhausted.  We know that this smart and playful boy will be some family’s prized possession and love.  He is housetrained it seems and he is crate trained as well.  He is respectful of other dogs and their space and not once ounce of bad traits exist in this boy.  Step right up and let’s consider Stevie for your family or just you if you are single.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Meet Richie This silly youngster coming in at a little over 2 years old and 55 pounds and is full of life! He loves everyone he meets (except for cats, he is not a friend of the kitty committee) and has such a loving soul. He's ready for any adventure you go on, or just to be by your side resting on the couch watching a movie, with his favorite toy. He had an injury sometime in his short life of a broken pelvic bone and a knee joint issue. He has seen a vet who confirmed this is an old injury that has healed, and he has been doing fine on it. He would not be a good candidate for someone who wants to take him on runs or hikes. He would do just fine with daily walks and outdoor play. He needs more of a low-key environment. Keeping him on a glucosamine supplement will keep him going just fine to live a long happy life. He is available to you via ground transportation. Located in Texas

Story
We adopted PJ from the Prince George Animal Shelter, where we w drawn to their playful and loving nature. PJ is currently one year old and has brought so much joy and companionship to our lives. PJ is incredibly playful, always eager to engage in fun activities, and enjoy running around or chasing toys. At the same time, he is obedient and well-behaved, following basic commands and maintaining excellent house training. One of PJ favorite things to do is cuddle, offering affection and comfort to everyone in the household. When considering a new home, we are hoping for a space that can accommodate PJ's energy and personality. Ideally, the home would include a large outdoor area for PJ to explore and play freely. A welcoming environment with a warm and friendly community would also be important, as it would create a sense of belonging for PJ.

Story
Maggie is a sweetheart and fiercely loyal to her person; She prefers to lounge next to said person; even better if the sun is beaming through the window. Not unlike a shadow, she follows her person throughout the day. The only exceptions are meal time and if she is in a deep slumber, even then that is quickly rectified. Her favorite activities include eating, being next to her person, having her chin scratched, sleeping, and barking at mail being delivered. She is not a fast mover, although does exhibit some giddy-up periodically, and embodies the notion of taking it easy. Her life has been being the only dog in a home so I would urge anyone considering her to keep that in mind. If you like taking it easy and sauntering around your neighborhood a few times per day, then this is the dog for you. She is approx 11 years old and weighs 62 pounds.

Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  2.5-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and, ideally, a playful companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside, and gets along well with cats. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving high-risk animals like Levi. As part of our mission, we travel to the Northeast weekly, bringing pets like Levi closer to their forever families. For more about our drop-off points and times, visit www.CritterCavalry.com.
