RESCUE ONLY DEADLINE3PM 01/04/24Name: OdieAnimal ID: A784887 dup A858431Age: 2 yearsWeight: 53 yearsAbout: Odie is a handsome young boy with a heart of gold! He first came to PACC as a stray in July 2022 and quickly found a loving home. Unfortunately, he recently returned due to an incident where a neighbor was bitten during an altercation with another dog. Despite this incident, Odie`s previous owner raved about his loving nature. He lived happily with a 9-year-old child on the spectrum and also thrived in a home with a 2-year-old and a baby. Odie is a well-mannered gentleman who knows how to use a doggy door, enjoys walks, and is affectionate with his people. He also loves his toys and is crate trained. At PACC, Odie has had the opportunity to meet other dogs. While initially nervous, he was tolerant overall and generally kept to himself. Odie is looking for a forever home with a responsible family that can provide him with a secure environment. Odie has shown that he is a wonderful companion and just needs to find the right home. Please ask how you can help him! Adoption Process:Interested parties:Must visit PACC before the 3:00 PM January 4, 2024, deadline to meet with an adoption counselor who will go over notes and then introduce you to ensure that it’s a good fit. Are encouraged to reach out to a rescue group ASAP (even before coming to PACC), to start the rescue approval process. Have the rescue contact PACC atPACC.UrgentDogs@pima.gov if approved to pull. Collaboration with Rescue Groups:Rescue groups are encouraged to reach out to PACC early if they are able to pull this animal into their rescue (and what requirements they would have: interested adoptive party, alteration etc.)If an IP has not already contacted a rescue, PACC will notify all partnered rescue groups of an interested party and request their assistance. Rescue groups are encouraged to start their adoption process with any interested parties who have contacted them directly and email PACC at PACC.UrgentDogs@pima.govPlease note that it is ultimately up to the rescue group`s discretion to decide whether to proceed with adoption. Partnered Rescue Groups can pull any dogs on Rescue Only Deadline at any time without an interested party.Home Management PlanBite History • moderate bite- victim was bitten when trying to get in between Odie and their small dog being walked off lea
