Story
Daisy is a spunky and playful girl. She loves to lay by the front window and nap, but she is also always up for a game of tug, a walk (her favorite word), or keep-away with her favorite ball. She is a love bug & is very loyal and affectionate. Daisy will do best in a home without small kids or lots of surprise guests because can get too excitable with company and nervous with kids she doesn’t know. She is also very motivated to chase our cat. She has been with our family 3 years and in that time she’s learned a lot! Basic obedience classes and private training have helped her learn sit, down, shake, heel, stay, leave it, place, etc. She is crate trained, loves car rides & walks, and does good on a leash, but is still working on generalizing her skills, and working on her manners when seeing new dogs and greeting new humans. Experienced dog owners preferred. Even better if you’ve had a doodle.

Lexie..she's been here awhile! Honestly, she's an excellent dog but requires a structured family. She's fearful of strangers, and although we're addressing it, she needs time to warm up to new people. She may bark and growl, but if you disregard her and allow her to approach you on her terms, she integrates you seamlessly into her pack. She may not be the dog for everyone, but she isn't a challenging pet either. She's highly food-motivated, house-trained, walks well on a leash, understands the command to sit, and has a good recall within her fenced yard (as we don't practice off-leash). She behaves well indoors, although she's likely to eat your food if you leave it unattended - a habit that probably won't change. LMAO She adores stuffed toys, enjoys car rides, and is fond of walking and hiking. She's intelligent, yet can be a couch potato on less active days. Belly rubs are her favorite. Her silly and goofy nature, once she's comfortable with you, will keep you laughing constantly. Truthfully, I'm not super experienced with dogs like her. But I've really had no issues if I just let her do her thing with new people. IF I don't want to deal with it because it's a person that is only there for a second I tell her kennel and she runs right in. No problem. We want her in a no kids family or older kids. Active is great whether just walking her taking her on adventures. Someone that is comfortable and experienced with dogs as she wouldn't be a good fit for a first-time dog owner. Would prefer they own a home with a fenced yard as she loves to be outside. Applications are at www.mainstreetmuttrescue.com Adoption fee is $325 and she's spayed, up to date on vaccines and chipped
