Story
Meatloaf is a big, male, 54 pounds 2-3 year old Labradoodle new to rescue. Meatloaf is shy/ fear till he knows he is safe and loved. He needs security and not scolded for being shy. He is not aggressive, just unsure of strangers. Meatloaf was a stray, therefore no past history to know what has happened to him. Does ok with other dogs, cats unknown. No small children, and requires a fenced yard. Labradoodles are happy-go-lucky, intelligent, and friendly. Known for their shaggy coats, floppy ears, and sweet smiles, Labradoodles are beloved for their teddy bear-like appearance and demeanor. Depending on the generation, Labradoodles can vary in temperament and coat. Some can be a good choice for people with allergies who are looking for a low-shedding dog compared to other breeds. However, it’s important to note that no dog breed is truly hypoallergenic. Labradoodles are a high-energy breed that requires regular exercise to stay healthy and happy. Labradoodles need around 30–60 minutes of exercise per day, which can include activities like brisk walks, jogging, playing fetch, or engaging in interactive games. When training a Labradoodle, positive reinforcement dog training is the gold standard for training any dog, making sure to use both operant and classical conditioning. Provide plenty of praise, pets, and treats to encourage positive behaviors. Recommended training a Labradoodle as soon as possible. Training our canine companions early on allows them to develop good, lifelong habits. Not to mention, it’s also a great way to bond with him. Meatloaf is neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped, flea/tick treatment, wormed. Meatloaf is in southern Idaho, transport is provided within the Pacific northwest.
