Story
Ember is a very energetic and fun medium sized pup (55lbs). She's young (1-2yrs) and vibrant and looking for a home where she can participate in family activities like hikes and walks and Netflix nights. She's as good of a snuggler as she is a jogging companion. Her fur is soft and fluffy and she is lower shedding but we CANNOT guarantee hypoallergenic. She is strong and requires a fit owner who can handle a large and active pup. She did have some matting that resulted in dry skin (hence the shaved spot) that was exmained by a vet who performed a skin scraping to ensure there was no mange or underlying condition (test results were negative). She should be kept on a high quality kibble with fish oil supplements. Ember is located in Houston TX and can be picked up there or we can discuss transport options. Her fee is $850. Meet and greets are done via video chat after an approved application has been submitted. Complete an application for her at recycleddogsrescue.org if interested!

Lucas is a handsome and loving pup who is full of surprises! He can be independent and gentle, but also has a playful side to him when he gets to know you. Although he may seem a bit shy at first, he's actually very affectionate and will melt your heart with his wet kisses. It's important to note that Lucas will need some extra time and space to warm up to his new surroundings. He's good with other dogs, but slow introductions are a must. He would prefer to be the only four-legged friend in the household or have a mellow female dog companion. If you're looking for a sweet and cuddly friend, Lucas will be the perfect fit for you. Although he may be a bit weary at first, he will surely warm your heart and fill your life with love and joy. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Stella is a ~6 year old Lab/Pit mix. She is loving, friendly and wants nothing more than to have a home where she can get lots of cuddles, treats and attention. Once she knows you she is sweet as a button and loves her people deeply. Stella's favorite things are treats, a comfy bed and lots of pets. You can find her cuddled up on her bed and sunbathing on a nice day. She has a calm demeanor and walks well on a leash. Stella is She's has a very high prey drive and can be aggressive towards other animals. She needs a family that has dog reactivity experience so they know how to keep her safe and separate. Stella would do best in an adult-only home or with kids over the age of 12. Not because she is aggressive towards people, she just prefers a quiet and calm home where she can be loved and spend her days relaxing :) She is UTD on her vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $250.

Gismo is a 2-year-old Poodle male about 15 lb. He's pretty good with other dogs and is being fostered in a home. His previous home was unable to keep him. He's can be vocal and high-strung. He's very cuddly and cute once he gets to know you. He can be wary of new people and new situations so taking it slow when you first meet him is crucial. He does fine in a crate. Gismo would do best with a single owner. He does fine with other dogs. No kids for Gismo, as he can bite when he's frightened or feels cornered. Gismo needs a family with a lot of rescue experience for him to overcome his behavioral issues. Gismo is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Sweet 2-year-old Labrador mix Ace has been waiting almost 2 years with us for his forever home! He came to us at 5 months old. Are you his perfect family? Ace is a very energetic and playful pup. Being that he has been raised in a kennel environment, he will need some work on his basic obedience skills. He bonds to and loves his people deeply and can be somewhat protective over them so he will need some work on this behavior and an owner who is committed to this training. He is wary of and can be reactive with men and would do best in a home with a single woman. Ace does well with other dogs and would do great in a home with another dog to play with and show him the ropes! He would love a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He would thrive in an active home where he could go hiking, on long walks or on adventures. He is not tested with cats. Ace is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $400.
