Story
Maui is a 5.5-year-old Labradoodle who’s the perfect mix of athletic, loving, and loyal. He’s an absolute cuddle bug but also loves staying active—I run about 3 miles with him almost every day, and he’s always ready for the next adventure. Maui is the best hiking, camping, and backpacking buddy; he’s up for anything as long as he’s by your side. Maui is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and doesn’t shed, making him a wonderful, low-maintenance companion. He’s friendly with people and other dogs but can get a little nervous around large groups of strangers. Once, during a party, he nipped at someone who entered unexpectedly (no skin was broken), and as a precaution, I’m looking for a new home where large gatherings of unfamiliar people aren’t common. It breaks my heart to see him go, but I know finding the right fit for him is what’s best. Maui deserves a home where his loyal, loving nature can shine. He’ll make an absolutely incredible companion.

Story
Meet Prince! He is a 2.5 year old Labradoodle who loves to give kisses, cuddle, and play. His dad is a full blooded lab and his mom is a full blooded poodle. He is great with children and gets along well with other dogs. He is very energetic, playful, and needs a home where he can get lots of attention and stimulation, and due to my career, that is not something I am able to provide. I was left with him and have given him care and attention for as long as I can, but unfortunately, I am not able to do this anymore. He would be the perfect addition to a family who is able to provide him these necessities! Prince is a lovable, smart, and highly energetic young dog who is ready to bring joy and excitement to a new home.

These pups are in Aurora, Colorado too!

Story
Gaze into his eyes and cute Canelo will capture your heart! All 43 lbs of this 10.5-month-old boy are sweet, social, easygoing, and happy. He enjoys walks, playing with stuffie toys, chasing tennis balls, chewing on sturdy rubber toys, with breaks in between for cuddle time. Canelo loves playing with other dogs and joyfully greets new people. He’s working on his leash skills and is almost fully crate and house-trained. Motivated by food, love, and toys, he currently knows “sit,” "down," and “off” and if you’ve got a treat, he’s happy to learn more! Now all Canelo marshmallow needs is an active and loving home, with adopter(s) ready to take him on adventures, give him endless belly rubs, complete his training, and adore him for all of his days!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
If friendliness had a face, it would be 1-year-old Felipe’s face. While the 40-pound black-and-white beauty was initially shy, once he warmed up to his fosters, he wanted nothing more than to snuggle and cuddle with them, rest his head on them, sleep on top of them and then follow them everywhere. Preferring to be petted under the chin rather than above the head, Felipe does a fine rendition of the ranger crawl, is fabulously frisky with his doggy foster friends, and politely respects the senior dog’s boundaries. Percolating with puppy enthusiasm and energy, he loves going on walks, zigzagging slightly in his eagerness to meet other dogs, enjoys playing games of fetch, playing with toys, especially balls, and chewing bones. Motivated by food and toys, he currently knows “come” and “leave it,” and is crate-trained and almost fully house-trained. Only just starting life’s journey, Felipe will fit perfectly into a particularly loving home, preferably with another playful dog, and patient adopters who will bolster his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, mentally and physically, fur-ever. See more photos of Felipe here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
Ever so LARGE in love, beautiful 3-year-old Lilah is blissfully unaware of her size. The sweet 49-pound former puppy mama, so soft and so wiggly, starts her mornings by stretching across her foster mom, then happily leaping into her lap for cuddles and pets before rolling over for belly rubs. As active as she is affectionate, Lilah loves tossing plush toys up in the air, catching and then tossing them up again, going for walks and on hikes, playing with other equally energetic dogs at the dog park and chasing rabbits and squirrels in the backyard. Highly motivated by food, toys and love, she’s particularly fond of such “treats” as bully sticks, bones, antlers and Kongs. Eager to learn and to please, she’s presently at work on her “sit” command, improving her leash manners, and is nearly crate and house-trained. Now all Lilah needs to thrive is an active home with a securely fenced yard, older children, another playful pup and adoring adopters who will patiently perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that her enviable energy is well spent fur-ever.
