Story
Did you know the name Finn means fair or blessed in Irish mythology? We think our Finn fits his name well, as he is fair in colour and just a blessing too. Finn came to us in January after his owner passed away. At that time Finn was 5 months old. He was placed in a foster home with the intention to adopt, however that did not work out and we are now looking for his fur-ever home! Here are some notes left by his foster home: - He is very smart, listens with treats for reward. - Needs a person/family that is high energy and maybe has another dog that can keep up with him. - He is a bit too rough with smaller animals, he does not know his own size! - Fully house-trained, will ring bell on door knob to let you know he needs to go out. - Good on leash but will get overly excited at times and forget his manners. - He is a counter surfer! - Has some destructive capabilities if his needs aren't getting met. - Loves to play fetch, soccer, and loves water. - Gets excited easily, and then he gets the zoomies! -ALLERGIES: CHICKEN & DUCK Finn is a very sweet and very energetic boy who does not quite know his size but has a heart of gold! Other Dogs: Maybe, well matched Cats: Unknown Kids: Yes but older 14+ Apartment: Maybe Walks: Loves them! New People: Yes, use treats and he is your new best friend! -------------------------------------------------------------------- At City of Vancouver Animal Services, we have a foster-to-adopt program whereby prospective new owners foster the adoptable animal for 21 days before committing to adoption. This ensures that both the new owner and the adoptable animal are well suited to each other. Adoption Fee $353 Includes: -Spay/Neuter -First set of shots -One vet visit -Microchip -Bag of food If you live in Vancouver, you will also need to buy a dog license. Story
Meet Enzo! This sweet and energetic guy is excited to meet new people and is always ready for a fun adventure. Although he hasn't had any formal training, Enzo is eager to learn and would thrive with a patient and understanding guardian who can help him with his good manners. He's very playful and food-motivated, making training a great bonding opportunity. While Enzo has had canine friends before, he can become overstimulated and struggles with communication around other dogs. A home where he can be the only pet would be best. Enzo also needs training to manage his resource guarding behaviour around food with other dogs. If you have questions about this topic, please reach out to the staff to discuss! This charming boy loves being active and would make the perfect hiking buddy, though he does need some work on leash manners since he tends to pull when excited. If you're looking for an affectionate, playful dog who's ready to learn and explore the world with you, Enzo might just be the perfect match!** PLEASE NOTE ** Dog meets and adoptions are by appointment only. To secure an adoption meet, please submit an online application and a staff member will reach out. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 36.1 Age: 0yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
Meet Rabbit, a high-energy, bouncy Border Collie mix with a flow that never stops! This small but mighty dog is jumpy and always ready to hop into action. Whether it's tearing up agility courses or running like he's on a world tour, Rabbit's all about that hustle. He needs an active lifestyle, a yard with a tall fence or enclosed run, and a home that can match his non-stop rhythm.Rabbit's intense play style calls for a doggy homie who can keep up with his vibe-no chill here, just pure energy. He's super food motivated, but heads up-he's known to guard his meals, so he'll need someone who can work with him on that behavior. Though he's done well with kids in the past, Rabbit's looking for an adult-only home where he can get the structure, training, and respect he deserves. Rabbit will truly shine, being front stage and center! Think you can handle this dog's fast-paced flow and work through his challenges? Rabbit's ready to hit the mic (or the park) with you!
