Born to a stray mother in a rural area, Sophie and her four siblings faced a challenging start in life. Fortunately, they were rescued and have been thriving in a loving foster home ever since. About Him/Her Sophie is a unique blend of playful energy and affectionate calm. She adores her squeaky ball and can entertain herself for hours, showcasing her independent spirit. However, she also cherishes snuggle time with her humans, making her the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a balance of activity and relaxation. This young dog is active and loves outdoor adventures, but once inside, she transforms into a mellow and calm presence. Her foster family has helped her socialize with many people and dogs, but due to her mild resource guarding tendencies, Sophie would do best as the only pet in her new home. She doesn't attack but prefers to keep her toys, treats, and other belongings to herself. Sophie has a mild food allergy and does best on a diet limited to one protein source. When she consumes chicken, she tends to lick her paws, so her current diet avoids it to keep her comfortable and healthy. Are you looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion? Sophie might just be the perfect fit for your home. With her unique personality and sweet disposition, she’s ready to bring joy and love to a family that understands her needs. Come meet Sophie and see if you’re the perfect match for this special girl! Born into a crowded shelter housing over 1,600 dogs, he spent four long years waiting patiently for a chance at a better life. In early 2024, that chance finally came. Youngsil was rescued and brought to Canada where he has been living with a loving foster family ever since. About Youngsil Youngsil is brave, resilient, and determined to learn—even when he’s scared. And he’s such a fast learner! We’ve seen and trained a lot of dogs, and Youngsil is one of the smartest. But Youngsil wasn’t always the happy, easy-going dog he is now. After all, he lived in a dog prison for the first four years of his life. He didn’t know how to be a “normal dog.” When he first arrived, everything frightened him: being touched, getting a harness on, baths, being brushed, being left alone—even simple affection. Despite being potty-trained, he would have accidents when overwhelmed with anxiety. But with patience and love, he’s made incredible progress. His Amazing Progress Harness Time: Youngsil used to panic at the sight of a harness. Now? He comes over, sits, and patiently waits for it—because he knows it means walk time, which he loves. Bath Time: He once scrambled to escape the shower. Now, while still a bit nervous, he sits and accepts the water. We’re sure he’ll grow to enjoy bath time soon! Anxiety: The anxious poops? Gone. That alone tells us how much calmer and more secure he feels. Sleeping Routine: Recently, his foster mom began having him sleep in a fenced area. At first, he was so anxious that she had to sleep on the couch beside him. But within five days, Youngsil started going in on his own and sleeping through the night. Amazing! Training & Personality Youngsil has been attending group training sessions and has already learned sit, down, touch, and stay. He still has a bit more work to do, but the foundation is there, and his potential is obvious. He’s a joyful, happy boy who loves running in the backyard and learning new things. He greets his foster family when they come home. He loves when you scratch his neck. And even when he’s unsure, you can see him try. He really has a heart of gold. With the right home—one that’s patient, gentle, and willing to continue guiding him—Youngsil will thrive. He’s got a lot of love to give. Could You Be His Person? Youngsil has come so far, and he’s ready to continue his journey with a forever family. He’s not just looking for a home, he’s looking for someone who will give him the love, patience, and joy he never had. If you think you could give this brave boy the happy doggy life he deserves, we’d love to hear from you. About Him/Her Butter is a bundle of joy wrapped in fur, just waiting to find his forever home. This adorable, friendly pup has a heart full of love and excitement. Every time you reach for his leash, his tail starts wagging, and his eyes light up with pure happiness—he absolutely loves going for walks! Butter has excellent walking manners, making strolls through the neighborhood a pleasure. He walks with such enthusiasm that you can’t help but smile as he trots beside you. Butter isn’t just a joy to walk; he’s a social butterfly, too! Whether it’s meeting new people or making friends with other dogs, Butter’s friendly nature shines through.
