Story
Meet Kkotbun, a 3-year-old spayed female Jindo mix with a sleek white coat, weighing in at 12.5kg and standing 43 cm tall at the shoulder. After spending a full year in a cramped metal cage at a city shelter,  now she’s ready to find a loving forever home. Currently in Toronto Foster home! Kkotbun is a total sweetheart with people. She's affectionate, easygoing, and quick to trust—approaching both men and women with tail wags and gentle nudges. She even lets strangers pet her with no fuss and happily allows you to pick her up with your arms around her belly. While she hasn’t had close interactions with children under 13, she’s shown no reaction when passing by them on walks, suggesting she’d likely be calm and respectful in their presence.   When it comes to other dogs, Kkotbun is just as friendly. She enjoys greeting both familiar and unfamiliar pups and often invites them to play—especially if they’re similar in size. She gets along well with high-energy dogs, and even if another dog shows signs of aggression, she chooses to walk away rather than engage. Her calm, social nature makes her a joy to be around at the park or on group outings.   Cats spark her curiosity during walks, but she’s easy to redirect and follows your lead without issue. Her cat compatibility can be further tested if needed.   Kkotbun has a moderate energy level. She loves her outdoor adventures and is happy to relax quietly afterwards. She’s a confident and composed walker, unbothered by passing cars or people. While she might get excited and pull a little when something really catches her attention, she responds well to gentle guidance and frequently checks in with her human during walks with lovely eye contact.   This girl is wonderfully low-maintenance: she’s not food possessive, rarely barks, and isn’t clingy. She has a wonderfully independent streak, meaning no separation anxiety here. She’s also crate-trained, rides calmly in the car, and knows how to hop in and out of the vehicle on her own. Best of all, she’s fully outdoor potty trained.   Kkotbun is the whole package—gentle, social, independent, and just the right mix of playful and calm. She’s ready to bring joy and quiet companionship to her new home. Could she be the one for you?   Send in your application today through our website   https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/   She can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. Story
Meet Ppokki, a 7-month-old neutered male Jindo mix with a warm brown coat, weighing 14.5kg and standing about 54cm tall at the shoulder. Ppokki was born to a mama dog who lived tied up in a rural home and was rescued in late November 2024 along with his two siblings, estimated to be around three months old at the time. Ppokki is a total sweetheart when it comes to people—he doesn’t just tolerate affection, he actively seeks it out! Whether you’re familiar or a complete stranger, he’ll happily approach, nuzzle up against you, and ask for cuddles. He’s friendly with both men and women, though he hasn’t met kids under 13 yet. He’s comfortable being picked up and can be held with your arms tucked under his belly. With other dogs, Ppokki has a polite and curious attitude, often walking up to say hello. That said, he prefers to play with dogs he knows and loves rather than every pup he meets. He gets along especially well with smaller dogs but tends to steer clear of overly energetic or confrontational ones. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but a meet-and-greet can certainly be arranged. His energy level is just right—not too much, not too little. He enjoys time outdoors and is happy to rest quietly afterward. On walks, Ppokki sometimes wants to head in his own direction, but because he’s generally quite people-oriented, it’s easy to guide him back. He doesn’t guard his food with people or dogs and is impressively quiet—he rarely barks. He’s calm during car rides and has been doing most of his business outside. Ppokki is ready to be someone’s loyal, loving companion with just the right mix of independence and affection. Story
Meet Roy, a 2-year-old neutered male Shiba–Jindo mix with a warm brown coat and a heart of gold. Weighing 17kg and standing 51cm tall at the shoulder, Roy was rescued from a city shelter in January 2025, just in time to avoid euthanasia. After some time in a temporary foster home, he’s now thriving in his current foster environment and is ready to find a forever family who will match his big, affectionate personality. Roy is a total people-pup—he loves attention and is quick to approach both familiar faces and strangers alike, happily leaning in for pets and offering up his belly, even to someone he just met. He’s incredibly gentle with children under 13 and has no issues being picked up, cradled with a supportive arm under his belly. Affection is his love language, and he absolutely thrives on being doted on. With other dogs, Roy is generally friendly and social. He eagerly greets new pups and usually gets along best with dogs that are larger than him. He’s kind to smaller or similarly sized dogs, too, and is especially respectful (and even a little bashful!) around female dogs. Roy can be reactive if other dog provokes him tho, and he once got into a scuffle when an intact male tried to mount him. He loved being petted and getting attention from his humans so tends to get jealous if another dog receives affection from his human, which is why Roy probably would do best as the only dog in the household—where he can soak up all the love without having to share. Roy is not a fan of cats. He gets overstimulated when he sees cats or birds on walks and will try to chase them, so a cat-free home is a must. He has a moderate energy level, enjoying outdoor time and sniff-filled walks but settling down nicely afterward. On leash, he does pull a bit and loves to stop frequently for scent checks, but he’s generally responsive to his handler. He’s more comfortable in quieter areas, as busy roads can make him nervous. Roy is food-motivated but not food-guarding—he shares politely with both people and dogs. He’s not much of a barker, though he might let out the occasional bark while watching TV. When you come home, expect a full-on celebration—he’ll bounce around with joy and look for you if you’re out of sight, so he may not do well in homes where people are away for long stretches. He can get in and out of the car by himself, and travels quietly—though he occasionally gets carsick and might throw up. He primarily does his business outdoors. Roy is an affectionate, people-loving pup who will thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. He’s ready to bring joy, cuddles, and a whole lot of heart to his forever family! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. Quick Facts Name: Luca Age: 1.5 years old (born December 5, 2022)   Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Jindo Mix  Color: Black & Brown  Weight: 14kg    All About MeI’m a sweet, easygoing boy with a big heart. I warm up quickly to people and enjoy physical affection—I’ll even lean into you or let you pick me up once we’ve had a moment to connect. I respond well to positive attention and love spending time close to people. I’m also food-motivated and love working for treats, which makes training enjoyable for both of us! I’m still getting used to all the excitement of the world, but I adapt quickly. With encouragement, I’m learning that new places and people aren’t so scary after all. I’m not very interested in toys, but I love praise and gentle touch.   Social SkillsWith People: I’m affectionate and friendly, even with new people. I adjust quickly in unfamiliar places and enjoy attention and petting. I haven’t met children under 13 yet, so a calm household or one with dog-savvy kids would be best. With Other Dogs: I love being around other dogs and am great at socializing. I’m especially friendly with dogs my size or smaller. I never start fights and enjoy playing and exploring with canine friends. With Cats: I haven’t been tested with cats yet, but that’s planned for May 2025.   My HealthWhen I was rescued, I tested positive for heartworm (stage 1–2), but I was treated and have recovered well. I completed all necessary treatment, and my most recent 4DX test in February 2025 came back negative. I received my 5-way core vaccination in October 2024 and I’ve been neutered. I’m in great health and ready to start my next chapter.   On My Walks‍I didn’t get to experience walks much before rescue, so I’m still building confidence. At the beginning of a walk, I tend to stick close to my person for reassurance, especially in busy or noisy areas. I might seem a bit hesitant around traffic or loud sounds, but in quiet natural settings, I walk calmly and happily.I sometimes pull on the leash, but I’m eager to follow your lead and improve with every walk. I’m also great in the car—I know how to jump in and out by myself, ride calmly in a kennel, and I don’t bark during car rides. I do get a little carsick sometimes, but it’s manageable.   Life at HomeAt home, I’m quiet, calm, and well-mannered. I rarely bark, and I’m used to resting peacefully in a kennel. I prefer doing my business outside and generally wait for walk time. I know my name and respond well to treats during training. I don’t show food aggression, and I’m learning better ways to ask for attention than standing on my hind legs (I’m working on it!).With consistency and gentle guidance, I’m learning everything I need to know to be a wonderful housemate.   My Ideal HomeI’d thrive in a loving, stable home that understands I’m still discovering the world. I’m looking for a family who:• Will continue gentle training with patience and love• Can provide a calm and structured environment• Enjoys time outdoors in quiet spaces• May have another friendly dog, but it’s not a must• Is ready for a loyal, affectionate companion   Special NotesIf you’re someone who can see the promise in a gentle dog who’s been through a lot and is still full of love—I’d love to meet you. I’m ready to begin this new chapter and hope it’s with you.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Luca's YouTube Playlist ##2367086##

Story
Quick Facts Name: Donny  Age: 1.5 years old (born November 2023)  Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Terrier Jindo Color: Warm Brown  Weight: 18.5kg    All About MeI may have had a bit of a bumpy start, but I’m full of hope and heart, ready to find the home where I truly belong. I was just a young pup when I was found wandering on my own. Thankfully, some kind humans brought me to safety, and from there, I began my journey to becoming the sweet and loyal friend I am today. I did spend a little time in a home before, but it wasn’t quite the right fit for me. So now, I’m back with my rescue family—grateful, grounded, and ready for a fresh new chapter with someone who sees me for who I am.   My PersonalityI’m a bright, curious boy who still carries a bit of that playful puppy spirit. I love to run, bounce around, and chase after toys—especially if there’s a ball involved! I’m happiest when I have space to play and people to enjoy it with.I might take a little time to warm up to new faces, but if you give me a moment (and maybe a treat), I’ll soon be wagging my tail and gently inching closer for a sniff and a smile. I don’t always love being picked up or fussed over, but once I feel safe with you, I’ll show you my soft belly and nuzzle right into your hand.I can be quite the thoughtful boy, too—sometimes I pause to take in the world around me. I prefer calm, gentle energy and really connect with people who respect my space and let me come to them in my own time.   Social Skills• With People: I’m loyal and affectionate with the people I trust. It may take a few days for me to settle in, but when I do, I’ll become your very best friend.• With Kids: I’ve been around young children before and did my best, but I’d prefer a home where the little ones are gentle and respectful.• With Dogs: I’m a friendly guy and enjoy meeting new canine friends! I know how to keep things peaceful and playful.• With Cats: I haven’t spent time with cats, but on walks I’ve seen a few and just curiously watched from a distance.   On My Walks‍I absolutely love being outside! Walks are one of my favorite parts of the day. Sometimes I get so excited I tug a bit on the leash, but I’m learning quickly how to walk beside my person. Loud or unfamiliar noises might startle me, but with your calm reassurance, I bounce back in no time.   Life at HomeAt home, I settle beautifully in my kennel and know how to keep things quiet and calm. I’m not a big barker—just observant and thoughtful. I’m doing great with house training, especially outdoors, and I’m still learning the ropes when it comes to new places and situations. I’m food-motivated, so positive reinforcement helps me learn quickly! Sometimes, when other dogs come near my food, I might grumble a bit—but that’s just because I’ve had to share before, and I’m still learning to trust that there’s always enough.   My Ideal HomeI’m looking for a family who understands that the best friendships take a little time to grow—and who’s willing to meet me with patience, kindness, and a calm, steady heart. The perfect home for me might include:• A quiet environment where I can relax and build confidence• A human who enjoys the outdoors as much as I do• Gentle guidance to help me continue growing into the amazing companion I’m meant to be   Special NotesIf you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and soulful pup with a gentle heart and a playful spirit, I’d love to meet you. Maybe, just maybe, we’re meant to walk this life together.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Donny's YouTube Playlist ##2366091##
