Story
Our Popeye may not have superhuman strength (like the cartoon character), but he sure has super canine cuteness! He is basically like a canine toddler, who finds everything you do fascinating, so he wants to be a part of it. He enjoys other dogs to play with, toys to chew on, walks, with you by his side, and any and all attention you offer him. He is a true lap dog and reserves the right to yours every evening. This puppy is crate trained and house trained already. Sleeps through the night. His happy place is by you on the couch or your bed. If you are interested in this most adorable bundle please let us know. Thank you for your interest in Popeye! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17582 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Popeye, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13944Meet Taz – A Gentle Soul on a Journey to TrustName: TazGender: MaleBreed: Jack Russell MixAge: 10 yearsWeight: 14 lbsCurrent Location: King William, VAAbout TazHi! My name is Taz. I’m a 10-year-old Jack Russell mix who’s learning to open up to the world around me. Life didn’t start off easy for me, but I’m looking forward to a safe, happy future in a loving home.PersonalityI’m a bit nervous around new people and situations, but I find comfort in being with my brother, Tom. I like to follow his lead and sometimes hide behind him when I’m feeling unsure. With gentle encouragement, I’m beginning to enjoy my foster mom’s pets and kind gestures.Energy LevelI’m quite a calm guy who’s content to stay in my little spot. A quiet home with a peaceful environment would be ideal for me as I build confidence.Skills and TrainingI’m still learning the basics like leash walking and potty training, but my foster mom says I’m making progress. I’ll need a family who can be patient with me and help me develop these new skills at my own pace.CompanionshipI would do best with a quiet, patient family who can help me feel safe and secure. With time and understanding, I’ll continue to come out of my shell and show my gentle, sweet nature.Love and AffectionI may be a bit shy at first, but I have a lot of love to give once I feel safe. I’m learning every day that affection is a good thing, and I’m beginning to trust the gentle hands of my foster mom. With the right family, I know I’ll grow into a loyal, loving companion who’s grateful for every bit of kindness.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13945Meet Tom – Your Gentle Companion with a Heart Ready to Heal Name: Tom Gender: Male Breed: Jack Russell Mix Age: 10 years Weight: 14 lbs Current Location: King William, VA About Tom Hi! I’m Tom, a 10-year-old Jack Russell mix with a gentle soul and a lot of love to give. My early years weren’t easy, but thanks to my foster mom, I’m learning to trust humans and embrace my new, happy life. Personality I’m a bit of a quiet, reserved gentleman, but each day I grow more comfortable with affection and attention. My foster mom says I’m blossoming and am even starting to enjoy pets and the occasional cuddle. I’m looking for a calm, patient home where I can continue to build my confidence and know I’m safe and loved. Energy Level I’m moderately active and love a good walk, though I still get a little nervous when the leash comes out. I’m also a bit of a jumper, so a tall fence would be great to keep me safe while I explore the yard. Skills and TrainingWhile I’m still working on potty training, I’m making progress every day. Since so much of this is new to me, I’ll need a family that understands my journey and can patiently support my growth. Companionship My ideal home would be a quiet, gentle one, with someone who has a soft touch and the time to help me grow into my best self. I’ve discovered that I love being around people once I get to know them and would be so happy to find a forever family who’s ready for a calm, loyal companion. Love and Affection I’m learning each day that life is better with love, and I can’t wait to share that with my new family! Could that be you? If you’re ready for a patient and rewarding journey with a sweet, resilient dog, apply to adopt me today.See me in action: Click here to see me in action! Story
Oreo is a bit shy and insecure. He's sweet with people he's met but can take a while to warm up to people. Oreo does have some resource guarding, but we're working through that. Oreo came into the rescue with his brother Moco. Both have high prey drives and like to chase anything from bees to cars so they can not go to a home with small animals or children. Neither has had much as far as training goes, but both are pretty quick learners. They are crate trained, although they prefer not to be in them, the foster parent has left both in crates while at work and they do well. They both pull while on leash, but do well with gentle lead head collars. They have been on hikes and enjoy those! They love to be outdoors and to explore. They know sit, but do not stay very well. The foster has been working with both with basic manners, although we think they'd learn quicker in separate homes. They feed off each other, not in a good way. Most of us wish the dogs that come into our care could stay together, but sometimes it's better for the dogs to be separated in order to live a happier, healthier life. If these two where adopted together, adopter would need to be very experienced. Together or separate, they'll need some continued basic obedience training. With their physical and personality traits, we believe these boys are a Jack Russell, Corgi and Bully mix. We adopt within 100 miles of Waldorf, MD. If interested please fill out an adoption application www.rescueangelssomd.com. All dogs receive vet care before adoption, including spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, Heartworm/Lyme/Ehrlichia 4DX snap test, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchip. Indoor homes only and we expect all dogs to be family members. Adoption fee applies and adoption application required.
