Story
Like Mary Poppins, Gloria is "practically perfect in every way!" This sweet, snuggly, friendly pup will wiggle her way right into your heart. She is still working to gain back some weight from her time as a stray, but will continue to be a small/medium-sized dog who could adapt easily to apartment living. Gloria's favorite thing is snuggling on the sofa with her favorite people, but she also loves a good long walk or basking in the sunshine in the yard. She easily makes new friends, both human and canine, and has done well with cats, kids, and livestock as well! Although her ideal home would be one without too much noise or chaos, as she is still a little skittish, her only other requirement is that she gets lots of love and cuddles. This beautiful pup is one special girl, and she can't wait to meet you!

Story
Yoshi is about 4 years old, exact age unknown. We found him as a stray in July 2021. Life was manageable with two other dogs. As a stray, he showed signs of possible past trauma. Within the first year, he grew to trust us and became very lovable and loyal towards those he felt comfortable with. He loves petting, playing, and running. A perfect lap dog for those who give him love and attention. He takes monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks, and heart worms, and daily trazodone for anxiety. Very healthy now, but after having 2 kids, the resulting environment has proven too stressful, and his behavior has regressed. Common triggers are food competition, perceived threats, or feeling cornered. May bark, jump, or bite if triggered. He would do well in a home without small children and few or no other pets. Having a large yard to play in or time for walks is a plus. He still has a tendency to tug and bark while walking, so more leash training is needed. Any questions, just ask! Thank you!

Story
Bart is a reserved 12 year old Jack Russell/Cattle dog mix. In his 12 years, this wise man has seen a lot. He is his own judge of character. Prefers a quiet and calm life. He now shares our lobby with several other friendly, playful pups and he does well. He hangs around to meet new adopters and guests. Might say hello to some or might just walk away. We know he has a crush on our Executive Director. A home including a male would be good. He does well with others when he can approach on his terms. Another dog in the home would be great. He is also good with cats. Might take Bart a minute to settle in, however, we believe with patience, love, kindness, the trust will come. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal. To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Story
Check out this cutie! Summit is a male Jack Russell/Boston Terrier mix born September 2020. He is the perfect companion for an adult only home. Summit forms a strong bond with his owner and sometimes can be protective. He might be a bit standoffish in the beginning. We believe this is something from his past. He is a happy little dog when playing with his pals outside. Summit would enjoy the companionship of a well-mannered dog in his new home. If you own a dog, we can arrange a playdate to see if they are a match. He is already housebroken and would enjoy a home with a fenced in yard so he can run and play safely. Summit is a great little dog that will make some lucky family a fabulous pet.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
