Story
We adopted 3 puppies from family members who found them abandoned in a cemetery. These puppies were around 4 weeks old when found and are now 6 months old beautiful, healthy and full of life. My husband and I are older and have adopted many animals over the years but unfortunately I have developed health issues and cannot care for three playful pups. While we are keeping one of the pups but we need to find loving homes for the girls. They need room to run and plenty of exercise hopefully in a fenced back yard. The girls can be adopted separately if necessary especially since they have very distinct and different personalities. While Lexi is a bit clumsy, she loves to run. With the right training, Sammie would make a wonderful service dog. They are playful around kids, curious about cats and get along well with other dogs. They are also very affectionate and love to be around the family. I hate that we can’t keep them all, but its about whats best for them to have happy lives.

Story
Sushi is being fostered in CT. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going. Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get on. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

She has a wonderful outgoing personality but also just adores cuddles and treats by the fireside and on the couch. 💖 Personality: Goofy, playful and energetic. Lucy has a wonderful temperament and gets along great with all other dogs and any person she meets. Anyone would be lucky to make her part of your life and/or family. Meet HOPE! 🐾 There are not enough adjectives to describe this girl!!! Amazing, beautiful, wonderful, perfect. She is all of the above. Hope came into the rescue a little while back and has been with two fosters so far that just could not get enough of her. Hope is deaf. We don’t even think the shelter she came from realized it because you most absolutely would not know it. Except boy can this girl sleep good. The only thing that gives away she is deaf is you can come home unload the groceries, load the dishwasher, do all the housework and if she is asleep she will never know you are there. Hope is PERFECT she is house trained, spayed and could not be a better dog than anyone could ask for. She is a little bit of an attention hog. Just wants to be with you 24/7. She is wonderful with other dogs but your dog better be ready to share your lap. We can’t stress enough how much this adorable girl is just the perfect package!! 💖 Personality: Goofy, playful and energetic. Hope has a wonderful temperament and gets along great with her foster mates. She is super smart and a fast learner. She will be up for learning any new tricks you might want to throw her way. Darcy Rose is about 1½ years old. She was rescued from a backyard puppy mill along with eighteen other small dogs. When she came to her foster home, she was terrified of everybody and everything. She had no social skills and trusted no one to touch her or get close. Over the past several weeks she has learned to trust and accept love in her dog-friendly foster home. With the help of three small dogs, she has learned how to be a dog and belong to a pack. She has learned how to eat her meals from her bowl without encroaching on the others' meals. Darcy is now beginning to learn basic commands and will sit with her foster family while they watch a movie. She has gone from not knowing how to be touched, to wanting to be cuddled. Darcy is beginning to blossom like a rose! She is smart, loving, and so sweet. All she wants is to be loved and accepted. This little girl will be a dream come true for a family or single person.
