Story
Cody is a cheerful 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing in at approximately 25 pounds, This happy fellow is vaccinated, neutered, and ready to find a loving forever home where he can truly thrive. In foster care, Cody has proven himself to be a friendly and social guy. He gets along well with other dogs and even cats, and while he may bark briefly when meeting new people or when someone comes to the door, he quickly warms up and shows his affectionate nature. Cody’s experience with children is unknown, but his love for adults shines through in every interaction. Cody is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come. He isn’t destructive when left alone and doesn’t bark when left alone, though he prefers having his humans nearby. Cody thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he can become lonely if left for long workdays. This intelligent and active boy loves long adventures or short strolls, rain or shine. When it’s time to relax, Cody loves nothing more than jumping up on the couch to snuggle close with his people. He has a particular fondness for tennis balls, which he quickly shreds, so durable toys are best for Cody to match his playful enthusiasm. Cody’s ideal home would be with folks who can offer him plenty of attention, companionship, and love. In return, he promises endless affection, and will be a loyal best friend, adventure buddy and daily companion.    May 13, 2026, 10:27 am

Story
Meet Millie a 7-month-old terrier mix bursting with personality, brains, and just the right amount of mischief. This Jack Russell/Rat Terrier blend is all things playful, curious, and delightfully energetic. Shes the kind of pup who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart very full. Millie is incredibly smart and already knows sit, down, off, come, and leave it and shes eager to keep learning. She thrives on activity, so her ideal home will include multiple daily walks, playtime, and continued training to help her grow into the amazing adult dog shes meant to be. Shes house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night in her crate, and happily runs in at mealtime (especially if there are tasty treats involved dried liver, sweet potato chews, or a frozen Kong are her love language!). This sweet girl adores people men and women alike and greets life with enthusiasm (and sometimes a bouncy puppy hello). She enjoys kids 10+ who can match her energy and respect her space. Millie is also cat-friendly, making her a great fit for a feline-inclusive home. Millie is still working through a few puppy challenges. She can be reactive with other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the home. She prefers to enjoy her meals and special items without canine competition, but she has no guarding concerns with people. Shes also learning leash manners and how to stay focused when exciting distractions (like skateboards or strangers in hats!) appear. Millie is currently making progress with separation anxiety in her foster home but would prefer a home where her family is home often. Shes happy to relax in her crate when her humans are nearby, but shell need a dedicated and patient home that can continue working on crate training and helping her build confidence to feel safe and secure when left alone. At home, Millie loves to check in with her people, enjoys a good snuggle before starting the day, and will happily curl up after a full day of adventures. She may bark at unfamiliar noises or visitors, but shes not excessive just a young dog learning the world. Millie isnt looking for perfect shes looking for someone willing to grow with her. With guidance, structure, and lots of love, she will blossom into an incredible, loyal companion. If youre ready for a clever, affectionate, high-energy best friend who will keep you on your toes (and smiling), Millie just might be your girl. Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. Story
"STITCH" a PINCHER/ JACK RUSSELL MIX, aprox 7 months old, who weighs barely 5kg. or 11 pounds. Anastasia noticed this little guy in an open garage, who's owner had every intention of letting him roam free-and even worse; un-neutered to get in all sorts of trouble. Anastasia approached the owner and convinced him to let her take the little dog with her. She named him "STITCH". "STITCH" is now a SPFG picture of health; fully vetted, vaccinated microchipped and soon to be neutered. He is also housebroken and leash trained. "STITCH" is a jovial boy, very friendly and playful with people and animals. He is energetic, curious, clever and sometimes a little mischievous, though food oriented and easily trained. But above all, he is affectionate, warm and cuddly. "STITCH" would be happy in any type of family. Story
Meet Charlotte   • Name: Charlotte • Age: 7–8 years • Sex: Spayed Female • Breed: Terrier Mix • Color: Brown • Weight: 9.5 kg • Height (shoulder): 37 cm   Rescue Story Charlotte was rescued from a municipal shelter in January 2021. After her rescue, she spent about four years in a private shelter. During that time, an incident involving a bite made her extremely sensitive to touch—she would scream when handled, which made adoption very difficult.   In November, Charlotte joined the AKR center, where she began desensitization and touch training. At first, even putting on a collar or harness caused her to scream, but with consistent training and patience, she has made meaningful progress. Now, she may occasionally whine slightly, but her reaction has improved significantly.   She is sensitive to her fur being pulled, so she is currently kept with a short coat for her comfort.   ‍‍‍ Socialization with People Charlotte can be a little shy at first, but she is very food-motivated. With treats and gentle, positive reinforcement, she warms up quickly and becomes comfortable with touch.   She has not been tested with children under 13. While she can be picked up once she trusts you, this may be difficult for strangers at first. As she bonds, she becomes affectionate—even offering her belly for rubs.   Socialization with Dogs Charlotte is friendly and social with other dogs. She approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite play.   She can be a bit vocal when playing, which may overwhelm more timid dogs. However, she does very well with dogs that match her energy level, regardless of size.   She would thrive either with a compatible canine companion or as the only dog in the home.   Cats Not yet tested, but can be assessed upon request.   Energy Level Moderate energy. She enjoys outdoor activities but settles down calmly afterward.   Walks Charlotte may look around curiously during walks, but she follows her handler well and does not pull on the leash.   Other Notes • No resource guarding toward people or dogs • No separation anxiety—she stays home alone well • May bark at other dogs, but does not bark excessively at people • Calm and quiet in a kennel • Nervous about getting into the car—may need to be gently carried in (a crate is recommended initially) • Currently uses outdoor potty   Ideal Home Charlotte is looking for a patient and understanding home that will continue her positive reinforcement training and respect her sensitivity to touch. With time, consistency, and kindness, she truly blossoms into a loving and affectionate companion.   If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient dog and are willing to give her the time she needs to fully trust, Charlotte could be your perfect match. Age: 2 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Black / Brown / White Weight: 7.5 kg Height (shoulder): 40 cm   Rescue Story Lime was rescued from a municipal shelter.   Personality & Socialization   With People ‍‍‍: Lime tends to bark at new people at first — not so much out of fear, but more like a habit (similar to a yard dog alerting to newcomers). She is very vocal initially, but this settles quickly once she becomes familiar.   Within just a few days, she transforms into a cuddly, affectionate companion who loves attention   Once comfortable, Lime enjoys being close to her people — she will nuzzle between your legs, ask for pets from anyone she trusts, and happily show her belly She can also be picked up comfortably by supporting her belly.   With Other Dogs : Lime is friendly and social with other dogs, both familiar and new. She approaches politely, initiates play, and gets along well regardless of size.   She generally avoids conflict and will walk away if another dog is pushy. While she enjoys social time, she is also independent and relaxes well on her own.   With Cats : Not yet tested, but can be assessed upon request.   Energy Level : Low energy. Lime enjoys calm environments and prefers lounging and relaxing She also likes playing independently with toys.   Additional Notes :   No food guarding No separation anxiety Calm and well-mannered Crate trained Outdoor potty trained ‍ Minimal demand barking   Note: Lime’s main challenge is her initial barking at unfamiliar people.
