Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Butterbean is the sweetest, gentlest dog his foster has ever met, he’s good with dogs, cats, and kids. He has a voracious zest for life and fun things, and he’s also incredibly affectionate. He’s  hands down the greatest cuddler-he just loves love. He’s gentle to take treats, he’s overly excited about dinner time but has never shown any aggression with his siblings around food. He’s also incredibly curious. He learns routine well and he is working on his recall. He just seems like a really grateful dog that’s so excited to meet and love new things and people. He’s a goofy guy. His underbite is SO cute. Sometimes he’ll just stare at you with his bottom teeth sticking out and it is the best. He can also be clumsy when he knows he’s going outside he kind of spins out like a car trying to get to his sit spot. Additionally, just his curious spirit and zest for all things is so endearing. It’s very sweet watching him puzzle things out and discover what they do. Butterbean will be a great addition to any home. Butterbean is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/22 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am-12pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2025, 9:11 pm

Story
Age: Approximately 5 years old Weight: 14 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires one in the home Cat friendly: unknown, not tested Kid friendly: older kids only Potty trained: Yes, good on a schedule Crate trained: No, does not like the crate Izzy is a very smart, playful and goofy typical JRT in so many ways. Once Izzy has chosen you as her person, she is very loving and protective. Whether you are getting home from being gone for hours or just getting out of bed from 2 feet away from her, she will let you know just how happy she is to see you with her extremely fast wagging tail and little love grunts as she dances around you. Izzy LOVES her toys. She typically likes to carry her miniature hedgehogs around in her mouth as she goes about her day, inside and outside. She seems to really enjoy car rides and is usually very quiet and calm until you get to your destination and then she ready to go. Izzy loves walks and sniffing and for the most part can be easy to take on walks until she sees other dogs and then her protective side comes out and she is quite reactive. Izzy is a huge fan of routine and change can be hard on her. Izzy's past has clearly taught her that people can be scary but with patience and time she is slowly learning to trust. Izzy currently has two foster siblings (a male Shih Tzu mix and a female Beagle) and does well with them. Izzy does best with a calm companion dog that she can take cues from to help her with her anxiety. Izzy can be one of the most rewarding and sweet dogs that you would ever meet if she's given enough time and patience. Adoption Fee: $325

Story
Meet Milo, an adorable 13-year-old senior dog! Milo and Daphne came into rescue as their previous owner passed away. Although he might be a bit older, Milo still has lots of love and affection to give to his forever family. He would be the most successful in a home with no cats, dogs, and with a fence, preferably a privacy fence. He does not jump fences, but does bark and growl at other dogs so it would be best if he does not have to interact with other dogs. Milo is the perfect companion for someone looking for a more low-key, yet affectionate dog.He loves to cuddle and snuggle. He is used to being alone at home. Milo is very loyal and will stick by your side through thick and thin. He would do best in a calm and quiet home where he can take life at his own pace. Milo may have a hard time getting along with other dogs, but he's sure to steal your heart with his charming personality and loving nature! He is not a fan of fireworks and thunderstorms so he does have an anti-anxiety medication he takes as needed. *More information and photos added over time. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/ YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pepito found himself unwanted and on death row in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  He loves adult humans, he can be dog selective. No cats or kids.  He is typical JRT and has energy and needs to be kept busy.  Best with no shared walls as he can bark at noises and if not kept busy.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. We are getting to know Pepito more and will update as we get to know him. He walks well on a leash, enjoys going for walks, he would make a great adventure buddy. When you get back home he loves to cuddle. He is a total sweetheart. He is potty trained and kennel trained as well.  First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vet visit.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2025, 5:32 pm

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. I'm quite the traveler and flew in all the way from Southern California to meet my forever family. I'm really a special boy that deserves an amazing family. I am able to handle all that travel and meet new people and dogs easily.  I warm up easily.  I know the ropes with potty training too. I will potty outside if it's not too cold. I've never felt anything like this cold weather! I wear my sweater but if it's too cold I know how to use puppy pads like a champ.  My foster family doesn't have children but I have liked all people that I've met so far. I'm not a big barker either.  I'm interested in my foster cat and like to watch him. I don't bark or chase him . We are just getting to know each other. One thing, I prefer sleeping on a human bed vs my kennel. I make myself right at home. When foster mom goes away, I wait patiently for her in my gated room. I know she will be back. I haven't had much opportunity to go for walks yet so I haven't been able to show off my leash skills. I think my favorite thing is to be near my human. I'm really one great boy! Come meet me to find out for yourself.  Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2316458##
