Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rubia is very sweet and calm. She needs a little time to warm up to strangers and while she doesn't love to be carried, she does love to snuggle close during down times and at night. Rubia would love a quiet life with someone who spend a lot of time with her. She always looks very sincere and serious. She is a calm and gentle presence. She also LOVES to go on walks and is an excellent walker. She is also mostly potty trained on a schedule as she does have a medical concern going on that they are working on treating that has contributed to some accidents. Rubia is from Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sheeba is an energetic, friendly puppy with a big smile and a playful nature. She was found as a stray in a parking lot in Texas, and while she loves her foster family she is ready to find her forever home in Minnesota. She loves her daily routine of walks, potty breaks, and hanging out with her foster mom in their home office. She’s especially goofy when she prances on her hind feet, which she does when she's excited or wants a treat! While Sheeba hasn't been around kids or cats yet, she would likely do great in a home with children who she can play with! She loves to play! She sometimes whines initially when left alone in her kennel, she would just prefer to be around her people. Sheeba is a young girl who would thrive in a home that’s energetic and ready for all her love and silliness! Sheeba is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $275 plus tax  Meet Bertrand (Bert for Short): The Sweetest Nap Buddy!  Hey there! I’m Bertrand, but you can call me Bert! I’m a gentle soul on the lookout for a loving family to share my days with. At 5 years old, I’m a mild-mannered pup who loves nothing more than a good nap on a comfy couch.  I’m proud to say I’m housetrained and crate trained, and I promise to be on my best behavior when left uncrated. I’m also a fast learner, so I’m ready to pick up new tricks and be the best companion ever!  I’m motivated by treats and positive verbal responses; I love it when people call me a good boy. I get along fabulously with other dogs, making me a great addition to any family with furry friends.  My awesome foster family has a super chill cat who’s used to meeting new pups, so it doesn’t mind when I bark or sniff around! But I do love to chase things that run, so I’d be happiest in a home without any cats that might get startled.  And sometimes I get so excited that I jump so a house without really small kids might be best.  I love to play outside with older, more sturdy kids though! If you’re looking for a sweet boy who enjoys chill days filled with cuddles and the occasional playtime, I’m your pup!  I can’t wait to meet you!     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Meet Milo, an adorable 13-year-old senior dog! Milo and Daphne came into rescue as their previous owner passed away. Although he might be a bit older, Milo still has lots of love and affection to give to his forever family. He would be the most successful in a home with no cats, dogs, and with a fence, preferably a privacy fence. He does not jump fences, but does bark and growl at other dogs so it would be best if he does not have to interact with other dogs. Milo is the perfect companion for someone looking for a more low-key, yet affectionate dog.He loves to cuddle and snuggle. He is used to being alone at home. Milo is very loyal and will stick by your side through thick and thin. He would do best in a calm and quiet home where he can take life at his own pace. Milo may have a hard time getting along with other dogs, but he's sure to steal your heart with his charming personality and loving nature! He is not a fan of fireworks and thunderstorms so he does have an anti-anxiety medication he takes as needed. *More information and photos added over time. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/ FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/ YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Story
Oscar is a sweet, loving boy. He is 9 and we saved him from a rescue shelter almost 5 years ago. He is great with our original dog. He is a bit skittish with people at first and likes his independence. He loves squeaky toys. He does have some challenges that stem from his puppyhood. He is difficult to corral sometimes, though once you get the leash on him he’s ok. He is shy at first but he does warm up over time. (He’s fine with our best friends and their dog when they bring him over.) He barks when scared and does mark his territory like all males, in all honesty he still struggles a bit in that regard - he benefits from outdoor space for bathroom breaks. In a nutshell he’s a little lover with a big heart. We are hoping to find him a home full of love. We love him so very much but cannot take him to England with us when we move.

Story
I truly love Buddy. He loves with all of his heart. It honestly breaks my heart having to write this but we have to give him up due to a newborn in our home. He was found abandoned in a Costco parking lot over 6 years ago. He’s best in a home with one or two people. He will attach himself to one person and be very protective of that person. He is not getting the attention he wants right now as we focus on our baby. He loves to go for walks and play with his ball. We will truly miss him. I recommend someone who has experience with rescue dogs and someone who either lives alone or with a partner. He loves to cuddle and sleep underneath the sheets. He never goes to the bathroom in the house...he's 100% trained and is crate trained. He loves to cuddle under the sheets and sleep in until late.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. A happy gentleman thru and thru! Warm and affectionate Biscuit will pull at your heart strings. He's definitely a cuddle bug and is very content staying close to my body.  This little guy weighs in at only 12 lbs. A great lap dog! Perfect for apartment living or the best friend to a senior.  He will need walks and regular exercise.  He's never messed in his crate and when let out in the morning I direct him to "outside" and never a mess he's made!  My assumption is he's young. Keeping a soft toy nearby is a must.  Since arriving Biscuit has been open to meeting new dogs and very nice about it.  He's new to cats and is afraid or cautious of them at this time.  Did I mention he's a Rat Terrier and is liver and white? Beautiful liver nose and eye lids while his eye color is a gorgeous orange to yellow.  Biscuit is a looker and will quickly steal your heart.    Biskit does struggle with some resource guarding and because of this needs a home with adults only.    Biskit is from a local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Duke of Earl is a sweet and food-motivated pup with a lovable, curious nature. Found on the streets of Texas with his siblings several months ago, Duke is still waiting for his happy ending and is excited to find it in Minnesota! He loves treats and is eager to please, which makes training him a fun and rewarding experience. Duke enjoys running and exploring the backyard, where he can let his curiosity shine. He has the cutest funny face when he's intrigued by something new, making him an absolute joy to watch. Though he can be shy at first, Duke warms up with patience and love, and he will thrive in a home that understands his need for time to adjust. Because of his initial shyness, older more considerate children, who understand his need for space, will be best for him. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle dog who just needs a little encouragement, Duke is ready to be your new best friend! Duke of Earl is from Texas. In just 24 hours in her fosterhome, she became a little shadow, always staying close and soaking up all the love and attention. She adores kids, especially respectful ones, and has done wonderfully with an 8- and 10-year-old in her current home. McCartney is crate trained and has had no potty accidents, making her a well-behaved and easygoing companion. She has a cute habit of tilting her head when you talk to her, giving the most adorable, funny looks. Her days are spent happily following her people around the house, enjoying every moment of attention.
