Story
Priscilla5 Months OldSpayed FemaleMeet Priscilla! This young lady can be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but blossoms into a social butterfly after getting to know you. She could benefit from having a quieter-traffic home and a family that can work at her pace as she first settles in. As Priscilla gets more confident, she’ll be sure to show you all her favorite toys! Priscilla could do well with a confident, tolerant dog friend who can help show her the ropes, a dog-savvy cat with a slow introduction, and children! If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
*Name: Shirley *Age: 2 years old (approximate age)*Current Weight: 19 pounds*Rescued from: Puerto Rico *Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)*Health: Up to date on vaccines Meet Ms. Shirley girl! This low riding scruffy Mama was rescued from Puerto Rico as a stray in the Condado area. Someone took her litter of puppies and left her behind. Our partner OBRA came to the rescue! Shirley was recently spayed and has been LOVING her time in her foster home. She is mellow and would love a somewhat peaceful home, where she can have unlimited belly rubs and love and the care and attention she deserves. Shirley will be available to go to the loving home of a vetted adopter starting Monday December 16, 2024. Are you sweet Shirley's forever? Shirley is learning to leash walk and has so far been potty pad trained. She is comfortable in a crate or enclosed space as needed while she is training and learning to enjoy life in a home. Every dog adopted through BNR’s Rock n Rescue comes with a great head start: your choice of a 6-week positive reinforcement training program or a one-time virtual training session provided by Bark n’ Roll! Both options are designed to help your new pup settle into their forever home using fun, reward-based techniques that encourage good behavior and build a strong bond with you. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##2252815##

Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Allow us to paint a picture for you: It's Fall in New England. You wake up to the smell of pancakes and fresh maple syrup that your significant other is cooking. Your little dog is snuggled in the soft blankets beside you. He seems so cozy that you almost feel bad waking him up. Nonetheless, you both get up and get dressed. You're so happy you bought matching flannel jackets for you and your dog. It doesn't get any cuter than that, right? It's Saturday, and you're excited for a day of Fall fun. After breakfast, you all hop in the car and head to your favorite apple orchard. Along the way, you stop for a pumpkin spice latte and a pup cup. Once at the orchard, you pick fresh apples and take lots of cute photos of your dog for Instagram. You laugh as he trots through the orchard and "helps" you pick out apples. You don't have the heart to tell him that the best apples are on the trees, not the ground. On your way home, you stop at the farmers market to pick up your dog's favorite pumpkin spice dog treats. Once home, you make a homemade apple pie using your super-secret family recipe that has been passed down for generations. Meanwhile, your dog comes in from playing fetch in the yard with your spouse. They are both covered in colorful leaves after trying to find the ball when it rolled into the leaf pile in the corner of the yard. You all decide to snuggle up on the couch and watch your favorite scary movie while the warm, comforting scent of apple pie fills the air. Sounds amazing, right? Biscuit thinks so, too! He'd love to find a family to do Fall things with! Biscuit loves long walks in the woods, zooming around the yard and cuddling with his humans. He's approximately 6 years old and is the perfect size at 25 pounds. He's hoping to be in his forever home before Thanksgiving! if you are interested in Biscuit, please submit an application on our website!  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. December 13, 2024, 4:17 pm

Story
adoption donation $650     weight: 22 lbs      Age: 1 year            Jet is a sweet and friendly pup who loves to run and play and gets along with everyone she meets. She’s affectionate and doesn’t have a drop of aggression. Jet likes toys and bones and would be great in an home with another dog as a playmate. She lives with a cat now and gets a long fine with him. And those ears! Jet is a quirky funny girl who loves to follow her foster mom from room to room, tail wagging.       Jet was taken in by an elderly couple in Mississippi when they found her as a stray but the couple has medical issues making it difficult for them to keep her.. They are heartbroken to say goodbye but Wags has stepped in and promised to find Jet a loving new home of her own. Jet is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.     Jet is on her way up from Mississippi to the northeast on Friday, November 29, arriving on Saturday. She is ready to make a wonderful and loving family dog.   Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Adoption donations are our only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fees include the transport, vaccines, spay or neuter.   For more information, please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  November 28, 2024, 7:34 am
