Story
Meet Cocoa Boy – The Cutest Little Scruffy Pal!  You can tell just by looking in his eyes that this guy has a story to tell and that things might not have always been easy for him. This 2-year-old, 12 lb terrier mix is a gentle soul searching for a quiet, loving home to call his own. Cocoa Boy may be a bit timid at first, but once he settles in, he blossoms into the sweetest little companion. He’s best suited as a second dog and would thrive with another small, friendly pup to show him the ropes. He loves curling up in a cozy dog bed & finds comfort in companionship. Cocoa Boy is currently fostered with another dog, and he does fine home alone in a crate or puppy pen. He walks well on a leash and is also a candidate for apartment living.  If you’re looking for a gentle, loving little pup who just needs a patient heart and a soft place to land, Cocoa Boy is ready to snuggle his way into your home. best as a second dogshy temperament - a thinker takes his time walks well on leashaltered, utd vaccines & microchipped________ available for adoption 2/20 -apply today   *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl!  Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly.  She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love.  Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl.  She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods.  No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her.  As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best.  Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people.  We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides.  She is on the go and ready to love you!  Bonnie is your girl if you are checking all her boxes.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention where you live:  city and state.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we transport to the northeast on weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 26, 2025, 8:42 pm

Story
When you love the Jack Russell breed of dog then you try to find that pure love to adopt.  Well Clyde is a very sweet dog but yet he is the shy type that will be oh so loving of a boy that will make you feel like you the most special person in the world.  He is just a year old and 17 pounds and he loves to play with toys that squeak and crunch. He is an active Jack Russell breed that needs a fenced in yard so he can run around and play with others safely. When it comes to cuddles….we all love that with our dogs, Clyde gives you the best cuddles that results when you “sit” he wants to be in your lap.  We will admit that he is not totally house trained and so that is a work in progress. He is crate trained as long as not being left for long hours cause of his age.   He walks on a leash as amateur but worked with it. He loves to go for long walks and see new things.   When it comes to feeling secure with a family, he is Ok with children who are respectable and who want to give him gentle and loving hugs. The Jack Russell breed is an active and vibrant one of colorful moods and playful antics.  They can be loving and snuggly and then zooming around the backyard with the energy that you wish you still had in your body.  They are invigorating and challenging to kind of up your anty so to speak.  They can help  you be more determined every day to be more focused and productive.   We love the active dogs that bring a zest to the pace of life and an intelligence that will keep you thinking great thoughts and making great strides in life.  If you are interested in Clyde the Slyde… please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live and a little more about yourself and why a JRT like Clyde is right up your alley!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 8, 2025, 1:25 pm

Story
Meet Anemone! This sweet 1-year-old Jack Russell/Boxer mix is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly affection. Weighing in at around 30 pounds, Anemone is just the right size for all kinds of adventures, whether it’s playing fetch, chasing after toys, or just lounging on the couch with his favorite humans. Anemone was adopted as a puppy from a local shelter and was found as a stray at 1 yr old. After his previous owner never came forward to claim him we learned that he was heartworm and erlichia positive. He has been through treatment and will have no lasting effects. He’s a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs, so if you’ve got a furry friend at home, he’ll fit right in! Anemone absolutely thrives on attention from his people—he’s always ready for rubs and playtime. If you aren’t paying attention to him he uses his Boxer hands to grab your arm for pets! He’s got a heart full of love to give and is looking for a family who will share in his excitement for life. Anemone is located in Texas. His adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip and neuter.
