In no time, Billy started following his foster mom around, enjoying pets, and coming when called.Billy is doing great with the other dogs in his foster home, following them outside to do his business and showing signs of being house-trained. Like a typical Jack Russell, he’s smart, attentive, and eager to please. Billy’s cheerful personality and intelligence make him a perfect candidate for a loving family looking for a loyal and active companion.If you’re ready for a new best friend who will brighten your days, Billy is waiting for you!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. **Courtesy Post** Sammy is a beautiful boy with a lot of energy. He’s six and a half years of age and in the prime of his life. He loves to run and play in the yard and get after varmints. Even though he loves to snuggle and loves love, he is not a couch potato. His owner needs to be energetic as well. Walking, jogging, throwing the ball, playing tug of war, running errands, biking, playing with toys, etc. Also, his new owner hopefully will work from home at least part of the day and not be gone all the time. Sammy needs a securely fenced yard. He will be glad to get rid of all the varmints out there. Sammy requires a home with no kiddos, no cats and female dogs only. His adopter needs to be able to drive to the Davenport, Iowa area to get him.

**Courtesy Post** Spanky is a neutered 5 year old male. He has many fine attributes: Very good in the house. Walks like an obedience champ on a leash! Great around indoor and outdoor cats - shows no interest in them, will let them come up to him. LOVES TO PLAY ANYTHING!! Still figuring out the intricacies of playing with other dogs, but nothing bad. I can feed all the dogs together in a row with no problems. Rides in the truck and side by side like a gentleman. Has had a couple baths and did well. Nail trim was so so, but he really listens to a no from us. He goes out on a long leash to chores, goats, cows, cats, chickens. Rather happy just to be with a person. Sleeps in a bed with another smaller type dog. Doesn’t he sound perfect!!!!! Spanky will be a wonderful companion for an active family. He has to have a good fence and his adopter must have a good vet reference. Spanky requires a home with no kids under age 12. Joey is a 7.5 year old Jack Russel mix who is needing to be rehomed due to issues with their newborn baby. He gets along great with all dogs and has been going to The Collar Club for boarding and daycare since he was a puppy. He is fully crate and potty trained, knows basic commands, and is generally pretty easy going at home. He can take a little time to warm up to new people but once he does, he is sweet as can be! He loves everyone at the Collar Club and has warmed up to strangers at his foster home after being around them for a short period of time. His adoption fee is $250. If you are interested, please fill out the application on our website. www.foreverhomedogs.orgAll adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.
