Story
Pauley is a 9-month-old, 18-pound sweetheart who came from a breeder/hoarding situation and has blossomed beautifully in his foster home. He has a naturally calm, gentle temperament and is not the wild, high-energy type.
He has lived with his littermate, Pip, his whole life, and they get along wonderfully, but Pauley does not need to be adopted with his brother. He is fully capable of thriving on his own, and so is Pip. Adopters should not feel obligated to take both boys. If you are interested in adopting both, the combined adoption fee is $495. Individual adoption fee is $295.
ABOUT PAULEYPauley is the braver, more confident sibling and the natural leader of the two. He is affectionate, people-oriented, and loves exploring the yard, greeting new people, and soaking up attention. He adjusts quickly to new environments and is fully capable of thriving independently.
TRAINING AND HOME LIFEPauley is adjusting wonderfully to normal home life. He enjoys being outside, running in the yard, and relaxing inside with his foster family. He is still working on housetraining and will need continued patience, supervision, and consistency as he learns a new home and routine. He currently uses a pet door in his foster home, which has helped him understand that potty happens outdoors.
Like most puppies his age, Pauley is still in the chewing stage and needs supervision. For his safety, he must be kept in an approved puppy playpen anytime he cannot be directly watched. A puppy pen provides a low-anxiety, safe space for him and helps him learn appropriate habits while keeping him secure.
Pauley cannot be left at home for long periods. As a young puppy, he needs the companionship, structure, and reassurance he did not receive in his previous home. He is still learning, still chewing, and still building confidence, so he needs adopters who are home more often to provide guidance and support.
