Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Roxy Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Female/8 years old/10lbs Vetting: Up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please see the special notes regarding Roxy's cancer diagnosis. House-trained/Crate-trained: I am fully house-trained and crate-trained, although my foster parents leave me out of the crate when they are not around. I spend most of my time sleeping anyways. Dogs/Cats/Children: I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I also don’t like cats very much. I have never been around children inside a home but I have met a couple on walks and I seem to like them. Energy Level: Low energy but I enjoy going on short walks. Before FAR/My History: Before coming to FAR, I was surrendered due to a cancerous mass. Since then, I have undergone three surgeries to remove the masses. The vet mentioned that there is still a possibility that the cancer may have spread to other parts of my body. There is also a possibility that the cancerous masses that were removed will come back. The type of cancer I have is an aggressive form of doggy breast cancer. However, I have been doing well and have been gaining weight under the care of my foster parents. Things I like: Cuddles, treats, and getting love. Things I don’t like: Loud noises. Ideal Family/Home: I am a senior dog with special needs, but I am still a loving and sweet companion. I am hoping to find a peaceful and comfortable place to spend my golden years. Special Notes: Roxy is a senior dog with special needs, and due to her cancer diagnosis may require extensive medical care. Story
Sugar and Spice and everything nice! Spice and her sister Sugar were rescued from a pretty sad living situation. They are around 30 pounds and roughly one year old. Both sisters love attention from their human friends and also love other dogs. They are bonded and would love a home together, but can be adopted separately. Spice is tan with white and black markings. She's submissive, but does have a "spicy attitude and will let you know what she thinks about it! Overall, she has a very calm and relaxed demeanor especially when she knows she is in a safe place/at home. She does well with potty training, but is still working on leash training. She is very gentle and loving with a little side of sass! Spice would make a great pet for almost any home. She is ready to be adopted and can travel to her adoptive home now! If you're interested in welcoming me or any of my delightful Funny Farm companions into your home, kindly visit ffpets.org. There, you can find information about our Tennessee-based rescue, and gain insights into the adoption process! The adoption fee is $325, with an additional $200 required for transportation. Please note that at the moment, this adorable pet is in the care of a foster home in Tennessee but will be lovingly transported to your location once the adoption process is successfully completed. For details on meeting locations and transport arrangements, simply click on the "Transport" tab at ffpets.org. We strongly encourage you to thoroughly review all transport-related information before submitting your adoption application.

Story
Levi is in need of a new foster home or a forever home in CT. He is an active young dog. His current foster loves him, but can't give him the exercise and stimulation he needs. If you can foster him or would like to adopt, please fill out an application online: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved About 3 years old, Levi is a Jack Russell mix and only weighs about 22 lbs. He' got a typical Jack Russell personality - he likely will want to be in charge if you let him. With consistent limits and lots of love, he's a great companion and a cuddle-bug. Levi will do best as an only dog, although he possibly could do well with a small dog, with proper introductions. We always do a meet and greet to make sure that everyone's happy with each other. He doesn't like large dogs. He needs an adult home or one with teenaged children 16+ years old. He also needs an active family who can give him daily physical exercise, as well as stimulating his brain - he's a very smart boy! We don't normally require a fenced yard, but Levi really does need a securely fenced yard. He's a wonderful dog who will do well with structure as well as lots of love!

Story
Buddy appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/other terrier mix. He is around 1 year of age and weighs 24 pounds. He was found under a bridge in one of the local dumping areas. It is no surprise that Buddy was scared when we first got him, but he quickly warmed up. He loves getting attention from his people. He loves pets and being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back whenever you bend over to pick him up. Buddy is small but mighty. He is muscular and high-energy and requires exercise. He loves to run and wrestle with other dogs. Sometimes, he can be naughty and will intimidate one of our more submissive dogs. Yet he backs down when one of the chihuahuas or another dog puts him in his place. Buddy is generally a good boy, and training is a work in progress. He listens well and comes when called. He is crate-trained and fairly well-behaved in the house. We are working on teaching him manners. He gets jumpy when he wants attention and more training is needed. He responds well to "no" and the "tsch" correction (as used by Cesar Milan). It would be best if applicants have dog experience and are willing to hire a trainer if necessary. Buddy would love his new family to play with him, take him on walks, cuddle, and give him a lot of affection and belly rubs. Buddy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Buddy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Buddy is ready to change his zip code. He is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. Buddy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Glastonbury, Danbury, Lisbon CT, or another scheduled stop closest to you. *Name:  Copper *Age: 9 years *Current Weight: 55 pounds - should be 25 pounds *Adoption fee: $300 Meet Copper, the not-so-mini marshmallow on four paws!  Are you looking for a furry friend who's not just adorable but also has a heart as big as his appetite? Look no further, because Copper is here to charm his way into your heart and onto your walking schedule! At 9 years young, Copper is a Beagle-Jack Russell mix with a physique that screams "I love treats" – and who can blame him? But don't let his extra fluff fool you; underneath those rolls is a playful pup ready to get his zoomies on and shed those pounds! Copper's hobbies include sniffing out snacks (who doesn't love a good treasure hunt?), mastering the art of the belly rub, and cuddling up for movie nights. But what he really needs is a dedicated workout buddy to help him on his weight loss journey. Whether it's leisurely strolls around the block or high-energy games of fetch, Copper is eager to find his perfect exercise partner who can motivate him to slim down and shape up! Despite his size, Copper's spirit is as sprightly as a puppy's, and he's sure to bring laughter and love into your home. So if you're ready to embark on a fun-filled adventure of fitness and friendship with this adorable chunkster, come meet Copper today and be prepared to fall head over paws in love! Story
*Name: Eddie *Age: 3.5 years old  *Current Weight: 53 lbs  *Adoption fee: $475 Meet Eddie! Eddie is believed to be a cross between a cattle dog/jack russell terrier and maybe even some pointer. Eddie's life has been rough considering he was found laying next to an abandoned house in South Texas unable to move when SNARR rescued him. After much veterinary treatment he has regained almost all of his mobility. He can walk up stairs and run around the yard like a champ! Eddie gets along with other dogs very nicely. And would love a home with a fur or human sibling to run around with. He really enjoys playing with his active Australian cattle dog foster brother, they both have similar energy. And boy does he know how to cuddle, he has even mastered sleeping in his dog bed upside down. Eddie has not pottied in the house even once since arriving to his foster home. Eddie is curious, fun, and smart.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ ##1710672##
