Story
HI MY NAME IS HOW BLUE The name is fitting given his piercing and beautiful blue eyes. He is such a good boy!! Plays very well with dogs and tends to act submissive but confident. He is good with kids and even with toddlers. "How Blue" is exactly how you would expect a young husky to act. He is full of energy and wants to play all day so he will require plenty of attention and exercise. Not food/water or toy possessive. He does like to rip up plush toys and loves bones. This boy is a snuggler and will give you lots of kisses in exchange for belly rubs. Huskies generally are escape artists so if you have a backyard, make sure the fence is high enough. We are working on potty training and he has occasional accidents inside because he is learning how to tell us he needs to go outside. He is getting much better with crate training and sleeping in the crate for short stints of time. He has had short exposures to cats so far and he doesn't seem interested. Overall, he would be the perfect dog for a young and/or active family.  Adoption Day: March 21st at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun!  ##2673170##

Story
Meet Denali 💕🐾 Denali is an 14-week-old Husky/Chihuahua mix who is impossibly adorable, with the kind of striking blue eyes that stop you in your tracks. They’re bright, expressive, and full of curiosity—like she’s always taking in the world and plotting her next little adventure. Paired with her tiny face and soft puppy features, she’s truly heart-melting. She’s silly, playful, and full of spunk, but she also has a sweet, snuggly side and loves curling up close when playtime is over. Denali is doing great with house training and is a surprisingly good communicator—she’ll happily “tell you what she thinks,” but in a charming, not-pushy way that just makes you smile. Her personality is confident, fun, and endlessly entertaining. Denali is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a forever home that will adore her as much as she deserves. With her big blue eyes and big personality, she’s sure to steal hearts wherever she goes. 💙✨

Story
If you are interested in Ricky, please contact dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Meet Ricky, a 2-year-old Siberian Husky who runs on sunshine, curiosity, and pure joy. He’s stunningly handsome (yes, people stop to ask about him), confident, and incredibly friendly with dogs and people alike. Bikes, joggers, squirrels, loud trucks? No big deal—Ricky stays focused and ready for whatever adventure is next. This guy is perpetual motion in the best way. He walks at a brisk, purposeful pace; loves to run; and somehow also knows when it’s time to slow down. An active home is a must—bonus points if there’s a fenced yard or plenty of opportunities for running, ball throwing, or long hikes. Ricky is smart, treat-motivated, and eager. He’s working on basic commands, and with consistency (and toys for redirection), he will shine. He has a playful, goofy side that pops out unexpectedly—especially if a squeaky toy is involved. Fair warning: If he sees it, he will grab it! Tug toys and tennis balls are his jam and are great for channeling his energy. He’s also very dog-social and would love a playful dog sibling to romp around with. This handsome fellow is a friendly, high-energy, big-hearted husky with a fantastic disposition. He’s ready for an active family who wants a running partner, an adventure buddy, and a very handsome sidekick. If you’re looking for a dog who’s always up for one more mile, Ricky is your guy!

Friendly, playful, and full of zest for life, Jett greets the world with wagging enthusiasm and a big “let’s go!” attitude. Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Nimbus is a sweet boy who is looking for someone who is patient, kind, and wiling to help him explore! He's working on his confidence and is hoping someone can teach him out to be brave. Nimbus is cautious and takes new interactions in strides, gently assessing how safe a situation is for him to be himself. He's an introspective gentleman with a heart of gold, waiting patiently to come out of his shell. Nimbus is easily reassured with chest pets and ear rubs and hopes that his forever home offers them to him daily. While he's willing to try new things, a couple extra pets and belly rubs will be graciously accepted. Whenever he's filling a little nervous, he'd say that some individualized attention and scratches will go a long way. If you are interested in bringing this fur ball into your life permanently, come meet him and show him what it's like to be loved!
