Story
Winter is a beautiful 2–3-year-old pup who was brought to the shelter on 4/11 after a kind citizen noticed her roaming with her pit bull buddy for several weeks. Despite her time on the streets, Winter has shown us just how smart, social, and well-mannered she can be! She walks nicely on leash, is dog-friendly, and already knows basic commands like “sit.” Winter is attentive and eager to please, making her a great candidate for continued training and bonding in her future home. While she’s generally well-behaved, Winter isn’t cut out for apartment living—she can be quite vocal in the kennels and would thrive best in a home where she has space to be herself and a family who doesn’t mind a little chatter. If you’re looking for a loyal, clever, and affectionate companion with a big personality, Winter might just be the perfect match. 📧 To meet Winter, email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com with “Winter” in the subject line!

Story
Her birthday is October 17th, 2021, so she is about 3 1/2 years old. She is fully potty trained, kennel trained, and she knows various tricks. She is well-mannered on a leash and loves to look at scenery when we go for walks We are still working on her not jumping up on adult people when she first meets them (to give kisses). She is extremely gentle with young/small children and is a huge fan of meeting new people and animals. She enjoys watching the local birds and squirrels. She is non vocal unless you leave her in a kennel and she voices her frustration periodically through a grumble or howl. But at home with me, she is not a barker, howler, or talker. She loves to play fetch and tag (where I pretend to come get her and then she comes and gets me). She will happily sleep 90% of the day away as long as you keep her belly full and she knows you are there. She is a lot like a cat in that way. She is not spayed. She is fully vaccinated and on a heartworm preventative to keep her safe.

Story
Hi, I`m Rosie! I am a beautiful 3 year-old Siberian Husky who is spayed, microchipped, and ready for adoption. I was brought to the shelter as a stray, but I did have a couple of previous owners; none of them came to claim me. If you are interested in giving me a 3rd shot at a happy home, come to the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter and meet me today!

Story
This sweet & playful gal here is Sasha. She is a young Husky mix hoping to find her forever home! While Sasha has been very well mannered with both people & dogs, please remember to do any new introductions slowly! Due to her being a Husky, we do recommend that she goes to a home that does not share walls with any neighbors as Husky`s can sometimes be quite vocal. Lastly, Sasha did have a small mass removed(biopsy revealed it was benign & no further treatment will be necessary). Thankfully, she has received some donations for her treatment, so all that is left of her additional medical cost is $121.05. If you would like to visit this lovely lady or if you have any questions, please find a Kennel Technician & they will be happy to assist!
