Story
Winny, was known as Winter, was born April 24, 2024, is a Husky/Labrador mix. Winny was adopted and returned through no fault of her own. She is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, rides great in a car. She is still a puppy, and therefore she needs to be monitored as to what she can put in her mouth and swallow. She is beautiful with her ears straight up reaching for the sky. She is very sweet and wants to learn from her people. Her breed is only a guess according to mom and her appearance. She will be spayed November 4th. She is up to date medically according to her age. Winny loves to hide, run, play in water and then enjoys cuddles, and would love to have an active family. If you have the energy to keep up with Winny please apply to meet her. Winny's adoption fee is $175.00 which helps to cover her medical needs and spay surgery. For more information, please call the Bedford Humane Society at 540-586-6100, or go to https://www.bhsva.org/adoptables to fill out an adoption application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.FOSTER DOG IN NEED OF NEW HOME Location: Central, VA Meet Togo, a 3-4yr old husky who's personality reflects his breed very well.  He's energetic and playful.  His favorite dog friends have all been female (so preferable not a home with another male unless a meet and greet in a neutral location can be arranged)  but no worries, this boy is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, flea and tick treatment,  and HW medication. His ideal home would be with someone who enjoys the outdoors and taking a dog on adventures with them.  He's neutral to people and children.  Not cat tested,  but wouldn't recommend a home with cats.  contact: acefarm20@outlook.com There is an adoption questionnaire as well at an adoption fee and contract.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. November 5, 2024, 11:25 pm

SUNNY NEEDS A HOME!  (courtesy post - if you are interested, use the contact info at the end of this post)  From Sunny's current caretaker:   "Sunny boy and his mother, the German Shepherd named Reagan, came to us through a neighbor who is no longer able to care for them due to illness. I have fostered hundreds of dogs and I can say categorically that Sunny boy is one my absolute favorites. He is about two years old. His father was a traveling salesman of the husky variety and his mother is a purebred German Shepherd. He is so funny and so fun loving that I envision him going to an active family because he is so friendly and loves to play. I think he would also do great traveling around because he loves to meet people. He’s definitely a showstopper and everyone remarks on how handsome he is. He seems to get along good with our dogs and we’ve seen no aggression from him. He is now in foster care with us, and is currently staying in the large pen with his mom Reagan. Two of my older dogs are aggressive, and I don’t want to expose the foster dogs to them. This big boy is such a sad sack when he’s not getting love. He wants nothing more than to sit by your feet run around and play and be adored. Won’t you consider bringing him into your family? You won’t regret it. Sunny Boy is a neutered male and will be up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm testing. Please contact Lindy at (304)646-5051 or at Greenspiritwv@frontier.comNovember 14, 2024, 6:28 pm
