Story
***Out-of-Town Pet*** Hansel is currently in Crosby TX but is available to be transported to his forever home! Allow me to introduce you to Hansel, an exceptionally handsome boy with a charming personality! His loving and loyal nature makes him a true companion, always eager to be by your side. Hansel is like a gentle giant, embodying the spirit of a big baby who craves affection and attention. One of his adorable quirks is his habit of carrying around a soft toy, which he enjoys sucking on as he moves about. This comforting habit brings him a sense of security, no matter where he goes. Hansel loves engaging in playful antics with his other foster siblings, showcasing his friendly and sociable demeanor. However, he’s equally content to lounge around the house, soaking up the atmosphere while you handle your daily tasks. Whether he’s playing or relaxing, Hansel’s warm-hearted presence is sure to bring joy to everyone around him! This wonderful dog deserves a loving forever home! If you're interested in giving him the love and attention he truly deserves, please feel free to reach out. If you're not able to adopt him, consider sharing this with a friend who might be a good fit for him. We can also arrange a meet and greet! He is neutered, microchipped, kennel trained, up to date on vaccinations, and great with other dogs. He has been fantastic with everyone he has met, including children. If you're ready to welcome this sweet, handsome boy into your home, please fill out the form through the link below, and we’ll get back to you promptly. https://form.jotform.com/241765023842152 As part of our adoption process, we are committed to ensuring that this is the perfect match for both you and the animal. Finding your forever best friend is our priority, and we appreciate your trust in us to facilitate this important decision. When introducing other animals in your home, we strongly recommend a thoughtful and gradual approach with all of our rescues. Keep in mind that not all dogs will get along. They have their own preferences, just like people do. The same goes for interactions with children; it's crucial to prevent overwhelming the adopted animal during the first meetings. Take the time you need to assess how they interact. Please be aware that all adoption fees are classified as donations to support our mission and organization. If the dog is returned for any reason, the donation will not be refunded, as we will incur costs for their transportation back to us. Thank you for your understanding and for making a difference in the life of a rescue animal!

Story
I agreed to house this dog for a family member moving out of state who couldn’t keep him anymore. I agreed because the last time I had seen this dog years ago, he was normal size and behaved normally. Come to find out, the dog is extremely overweight now and is extremely needy. Our household is not active enough for a dog like him. He needs a home with people willing to walk him and help him lose weight. I’m 9 months pregnant and due any day now and have reached my mental and emotional limit with the dog. He’s nice, sweet, doesn’t bite, very affectionate, just a terrible fit for our household, especially welcoming a newborn.

Story
Sasha is 11 year old Husky! She is super friendly and loves to play, run & play tug of war! She has been our family dog since she was a puppy but now needs to be rehomed to a loving home due to issues regarding stable living. She loves to cuddle and is has soft personality with a big heart. She does require lots of brushing and big kisses. Sasha loves to play with other dogs but has never been around cats, though I do believe she would kind to all animals. She is the perfect family dog who loves going on walks & loves to talk!

Story
Rouge was rescued with 15 puppies from a California shelter all set to be euthanized the day we rescued them. Up-to-date on shots: Rabies, licensed, DHPP-BORD, Dewormed, Microchipped. Spayed. She is honestly an amazing dog, with a mild personality who just wants to lay down and hang out and get love. She would make an excellent family dog that will hang out with you and still be independent, happy just being there. She is a little shy at first, which is understandable given her history. Once she knows she is safe, she is absolutely amazing. She warmed up to us the first day, so she doesn't take long to understand what is going on. She would be fine in a multi-dog household, as long as proper introductions are given, which will be done during the adoption process. We recommend all of our dogs be trained, by the adopter and/or professionally, especially as puppies. Training makes everyone's life easier and more enjoyable, giving you a companion that is well behaved, safe, and mentally enriched. All adopters will receive a 50% discount at The Good Dog Yorktown for a 6-week training session. Our favorite trainer for online advice is Tom Davis, his youtube is here: https://www.youtube.com/@tomdavisofficial Backstory: We saw a post on Facebook from Angels for Animals spreading awareness that these 16 dogs were in an urgent situation, scheduled for euthanasia. They were dumped from a breeder at OC Animal Shelter with two testing positive for parvo. Since they all came in together, they were considered parvo exposed, meaning they did not have it, were not showing any signs of it, just merely exposed. We couldn't let them all die for a treatable disease, so with the help of Animal Assistance League of Orange County, The Fix Project, 4 Paws Transport Inc., SoCal Happy Tails Transport, and a great volunteer communicator, we were able to get them out, and transport them here to Rox & Ro Animal Rescue in Virginia where we will find their forever homes! Story
Zen was rescued with 15 other dogs from a California shelter all set to be euthanized the day we rescued them. Up-to-date on shots: Rabies, licensed, DHPP-BORD, Dewormed, Microchipped. Spay is scheduled. Zen is blind, but that does not stop her from being a normal dog! She is all of the rescue workers and transports favorite, seriously! She has a gentle soul and personality to match, who just wants to hang out and get love. She would make an excellent family dog that will hang out with you and grow up learning your routine. She loves everyone she meets! She warmed up to us the first day, so she doesn't take long to understand what is going on. Since she is special needs due to being blind, we are looking for an adopter who has experience with blind dogs or who is committed to giving her the training needed with patience. She would be fine in a multi-dog household, as long as proper introductions are given, which will be done during the adoption process.
