Story
https://foha.org/pet/chaucer2022/ Hi all! I'm Charming Chaucer! I have to admit, I am quite handsome! And I do have a pretty fun and charming personality. I am also very smart and a quick learner. I already know sit, down, paw, and I'm working on mastering roll over. But I'll happily roll over for some belly rubs! I am full of energy but I'm very loving. Some of my favorite activities include playing fetch then cooling off in a pool. I may be fast, but slow and steady is the way to win my heart. I do need slow introductions to new people and other dogs, I do play well with dogs I already know. And I love my favorite volunteers and FOHA staff with all my heart. I would do best in a home without cats. I need to be in a home with a very patient owner that is very experienced with huskies! I will do best with no kids in the home as well. If you're ready for a life full of love (and dog hair) and you're willing to give me the time to show you all the great things about me, then submit an application today so we can meet!

Story
https://foha.org/pet/janis2023/ Meet Janis J, a shy and beautiful husky mix who is looking for a loving and patient home. This sweet dog has had limited exposure to humans in her early life and needs someone who can help her overcome her fears and gain confidence. Janis J is a stunning dog with beautiful brown eyes and a soft, fluffy coat. She is very shy and nervous around people, but she is slowly getting to know her voice and is learning to trust the people around her. Due to her fear of humans, Janis J needs to be placed in a home with no children and a confident dog who can help her feel more comfortable and show her the way. While she is still too shy to start obedience training, Janis J is doing great with her potty training and is making progress every day. She needs someone who is patient and understanding and who can help her build a sense of trust and security. Janis J is a sweet and loving dog who is just waiting for the right person to come along and show her the love and attention she deserves. She needs someone who is willing to take the time to build a relationship with her and who understands that she may need time to adjust to her new surroundings. If you are looking for a special dog who needs a little extra love and attention, Janis J could be the perfect match for you. She is a gentle and loving dog who is just waiting for the right person to come along and show her that the world can be a kind and loving place. With patience, love, and a confident dog friend, Janis J has the potential to become a happy and well-adjusted companion who will bring joy and happiness to your life.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/ohana2023/ Hello there, My name is Ohana, and I'm a timid but loving soul searching for my forever home. Just like Nanni, I can be a little shy when it comes to meeting new people, but I've discovered something truly magical-I come alive when I'm surrounded by other dogs. You see, I've been attending dog play groups, and those furry get-togethers have been a game-changer for me. When I'm in the company of my canine companions, my confidence soars, and my true personality shines through. It's incredible how the presence of other dogs can help me open up and experience the joy of connection. I'm proud to say that I'm the proud father of two precious puppies, Janis and Jerry, who are also seeking their own loving homes. Our journey together has been a rollercoaster, and finding a family that can provide us all with the love and care we deserve would mean the world to me. In order to continue growing and thriving, I believe it would be incredibly beneficial for me to be part of a family that already has a dog. Having a furry sibling would provide me with the support and companionship I need to feel safe and secure. Together, we can navigate the world with wagging tails and an unbreakable bond. While I may start off a bit reserved, with time and patience, I promise to shower my new family with affection, loyalty, and love. I have so much potential just waiting to be discovered, and all I need is a chance to show you the incredible dog I can become. So, if you're looking for a gentle and caring companion who flourishes in the presence of other dogs, I'm your guy. Let's embark on an incredible journey together, filled with moments of growth, love, and endless wagging tails. Together, we can create a harmonious and joyful home that will make every day feel like a walk in the park. Choose me, Ohana, and let's build a bond that will last a lifetime.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/lennox2024/ To quote Jay Z - "Let me REINTRODUCE myself.... I'd like to let the world know I have a NEW name and NEW outlook on life! I'm leaving the name Lestat in the past, and upgrading to Lennox. The new name will help others see I'm not the same guy I was when I first came to FOHA and was given the name Lestat. The new LENNOX wants the world to know, that I LOVE love! To be love is above all things, better than food, better than treats, better than squeaky toys. Although, I'll take all those things happily! During my time at FOHA my past self was slow to trust, but as Lennox, I've learned all the staff and volunteers are here to show me how good life can be and I've really embraced my silly side and love making new friends. As Lennox, I have devoted myself to learning new things so I can continue to be my best self. I'm walking better with volunteers and I even started to like being brushed. A good brushing really helps me show off how handsome I am! I am treat motivated so whatever you want me to know, I'll happily learn with your patience and the aid of yummy treats. I'm looking for a family who likes long walks or hikes. Whoever decides to welcome me into their family will be sure to have a life full of goofy shenanigans, belly laughs and LOVE!

Story
Hello there, I'm Kita, a petite and charming Husky Mix ready to steal your heart. Alongside my sister Kiara, I made my way to FOHA, excited for the chance to find my forever family. I may be a bit shy and skittish at first, but underneath it all, I'm as sweet as can be. My compact size makes me the perfect cuddle companion for those cozy couch moments. I'm just waiting for the right family who will give me the patience, time, and space I need to come out of my shell and shine bright. I absolutely adore spending time with my doggy friends, especially my dear sister Kiara. The play yard is where you'll find me running around, enjoying the freedom and camaraderie that comes with it. Oh, and did I mention my love for special treats? Cheese, in particular, holds a special place in my heart. Having another dog in my forever home is essential for me. It'll help me build my confidence and show me the ropes as I navigate through life. Together, we'll make the perfect team. As I'm still new to FOHA, my shelter family will be updating my bio page with more information as they learn more about me. But why wait? Don't hesitate to come out and meet me today. I can't wait to show you just how charming this little lady can be!
