Story
Smitty, in a foster home, is approximately 1-2 years old and 50 lbs, a handsome husky mix, fully vetted including his neuter, and he is HW negative. He has one blue eye and on the other it looks like he's wearing eye liner. He's a handsome, loving guy! He is so loyal he will follow you to every room in the house. He is crate trained and in typical husky fashion will use his voice if he needs to go out. He doesn't have the double husky coat, so this is the best of both worlds for you, he looks the breed but doesn't smell like it! Smitty absolutely loves people and wants to be an inside dog, as he gets cold outside at night though he enjoys playing in the fence with his friends during the day. He gets along great with our dogs of all play styles and energy level. He has no food aggression or resource guarding and expects everyone to love him. His personality is one in a million!

Story
Hi there! We rescued Maynard as a puppy. He is a full blooded Husky. Maynard is a very sweet, extremely, extremely smart dog. He is 2 years old. He knows how to sit, stay, and lay down (although we havent practiced much lately due to life circumstances). He is house trained but has been outside for the last year. He wanted to be outside with my other dog, and we could not get him to come in. The reason we are getting rid of him is only because he doesnt like farm animals such as chickens and ducks. He loves kids, I have two daughters that he is around often. He was raised wiyh cats, and absolutely loves them. He is great with other dogs. However, we have chickens, as do most of our neighbors and we can't risk someone shooting him over their chickens. He has one blue eye and a half blue half brown eye. He is very quiet for a husky. We never hear anything out of him unless there's something wrong. I know this is unusual, but he is very quiet. He is not your typical husky.

Story
Looking for a companion who is equal parts hilarious and full of energy? Meet Nanook, our 3-year-old Husky who’s got a lot to say! This big guy (and we mean BIG, weighing in at a solid 76 pounds) has a name that means polar bear, and trust us, the name fits! Nanook has perfected the art of the Husky scream, that glorious sound that makes it seem like he’s pondering the mysteries of the universe. He will talk back to you and always has to have the last word, making him the sassiest roommate you will ever have. If you are looking for a quiet dog, keep moving; Nanook has some important opinions to share, and he will make sure you hear them. This adventurous spirit needs to be out and about, not lounging on the couch. Parkour? Daily escapades? Count Nanook in! He is ready to stretch those legs and take you on a whirlwind of outdoor fun. And when it comes to energy, Nanook is like a rebellious teenager who has had way too many energy drinks—full of mischief and ready to bulldoze his way into your heart. Nanook’s boyish good looks will win you over every time, and he is a certified face-licking champion. He is not just looking for a home; he is looking for an audience for his antics. Just a heads up: no small animals, please. This big, furry ball of energy is looking for an active home that can keep up with his lively lifestyle. True to his breed, Nanook is LOUD and has no concept of an indoor voice – you might even think he`s screaming! He`s got a thick, luxurious coat that comes with a lot of fur and a larger-than-life presence. Nanook thrives on activity and would love a family who enjoys outdoor adventures. While he sometimes forgets his manners, he makes up for it with his friendly nature and affectionate kisses. If you`re ready for a playful, energetic, and vocal companion, Nanook is your guy! To meet Nanook, please call 843-249-4948 to schedule an appointment, or you can submit an adoption application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/.
