Story
Kali is such a happy and loving dog with a lot of energy whose tail is always wagging. BUT she does have quirks. 100% crate trained! I was told that she is 10, but she doesn't look or act like a senior. She has a high energy level and plays well with other dogs but guards food and toys. She gets along with our other dog but knowing how she is, we don't leave toys out or feed them when they are together. She desperately wants to play with other dogs but needs to stay minimally active until she is cleared of heartworms, which she is currently being treated for. Kali is potty trained, big time holder and knows to ask to go out. On leash she pulled a bit the first few days but now she is a great walker. I prefer to use a harness vs collar. She loves to sniff around and she's actually a big scaredy cat outside. Guards food and toys so should be with an experienced owner. She has a great heart but needs extra understanding and patience to gain her trust.

Story
Bandit is a sweet dog. She needs the extra space to run and play as she is a very energetic dog. She is great with our girls. We would love to have someone adopt this sweet dog as life has us having another baby and it's hard in an apartment. Bandit is very playful, outgoing and fun to be around. All shots up to date. She is 6 years old

Story
Meet Yukon, a charming seven-year-old male Siberian Husky who is bursting with playful energy, which will help him loose some of that weight! Yukon is the epitome of fun-loving and is always ready for an adventure. Despite his age, he still has the spirit of a puppy and loves to romp around and explore. Whether it's playing fetch or going for a hike, Yukon is up for anything that involves staying active. With his stunning coat and bright eyes, he's sure to turn heads wherever he goes. If you're looking for a companion who can keep up with your lifestyle, Yukon is the perfect match for you! He is fully vetted and house trained and would prefer a home with no cats. If you are interested in adopting Yukon, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet’s age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** November 5, 2024, 1:06 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Please contact foster at kacie.nowalk@gmail.comThis beautiful blue-eyed girl would love to find herself a human to spend the rest of her time with. After spending the past 9 years with someone, Kali was left at the Shelter. She may be 10, but she doesn`t act like it! She loves to play with our pups in the play yards, but does enjoy snuggling up for a nap as well. She is extremely treat motivated, potty trained, and not leash reactive. She has not been tested with cats yetShe’s still opening up to most of our employees, but we can tell she’s very treat motivated! She’s able to be in the play yards and does well, we just give her breaks when we see her getting tired due to her age. -Seems to be potty trained -Positive body language through the fence with a male dog -Knows sit -Extremely food motivated, so should be easier to train -Loves walking + sniffing -Great energy level for her age -Beautiful blue eyes + a great smile -Happy girl -Flat hand for treats -Seems a little too interested in cats at shelter so would recommend none or super slow intros -Obsessed with blankets, loves to suckle on them-Does not pull too hard on leash, but does get excited and curious when she smells something really good-Does great in stores-Loves to meet new people-Gets mouthy when she plays, as does any Husky mix!-Not leash reactive
