Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.WASSAIL hails from the Northern community of Deer Lake and she headed south with her brother, Eggnog, to find her forever home. She’s had her first set of puppy vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. We have no knowledge of her parents so the breeds we have her listed as are just a guess based on what she looks like as is the size she’ll grow to be. She’s an energetic, outgoing little girl who loves to run around and play with her many dog toys and also chase her brother. She very loving and snuggly and loves to give kisses and receive belly rubs. She already has good manners and will sit patiently for her food.  WASSAIL is crate trained and will sleep soundly in it at night and also take naps in it during the day. She’s working on her housetraining and most times she’s taken outside, she’ll do her business then. It is still a work in progress though and frequent trips outside are required for her still. She’s only just started to be walked on a leash and like all puppies will race ahead of you but with the harness that she wears, there is a bit more control with her. WASSAIL is socialized with dogs as she has one in her foster home and she gets along very well with him. Therefore she would suit being in a home with another dog as long as a slow, monitored introduction is done. She would do equally as well as an only child as long as she’s not left alone for long periods of time. She has 2 cats in her foster home so she would suit being with a cat and it would help with introductions if the cat is dog savvy. If not then for safety a slow, monitored introduction should be done while she’s kept leashed. WASSAIL’s ideal family is an active one who loves the outdoors and will take her on long walks and hikes. She travels well in a vehicle so will always be up for an adventure or two as well. She does require a fenced yard to keep her safe while she has a run around and play. Children should be aged 6 plus and be loving, gentle and kind to animals. Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training.  The rescue needs her adopter to be in agreement to sign her up for puppy/obedience training in order to adopt her.  Her spay is included in the adoption fee and will be performed no later than 6 months of age and the rescue also needs her adopter to be in agreement with this policy in order to adopt her. There is the option to get the spay done at the adopters own vet clinic and the rescue will reimburse the fee that we would’ve paid at the SPCA but the timeframe rules must be adhered to in order for the rescue to do so. The rescue also requires a copy of the surgery invoice and a photo of the puppy (preferably in a cone or onsie) to receive the reimbursement. If WASSAIL sounds like the puppy to join you and your family then please submit an adoption application to meet her.                   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 31, 2024, 8:39 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Kodie, Male - pending neuterPomeranian x Husky MixApprox. 6 months oldI'm a bundle of fun with the perfect blend of Pomeranian and Husky traits. My Pomeranian side brings a playful and energetic demeanor, while my husky traits add a touch of independence and curiosity. I would thrive in a household where I can be the center of attention. I'd prefer to be the only dog in a home, where I can be pampered and spoiled to my heart's content. With a family who can dedicate time and love, ensuring I feel cherished and secure, I will thrive. While I can be hesitant to form new relationships initially, I am incredibly loyal once trust is established. Patience and understanding are key with me. I can feel overwhelmed, but with a owner who can provide clear guidence and consistency, I can blossom! ** I am currently being care for by wonderful K9 trainers where my confidence and trust has grown. If interested, please contact the Georgina Animal Shelter for more information about me! ** Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 6.009 Age: 0yrs 6mths 4wks

Story
Konjo is a 1-year-old Husky who is waiting for his new home. He is an active boy who loves to play and has that typical Husky personality. Konjo is learning to walk on leash and would do well with an Easy Walk no pull harness. He loves other dogs and would do great with a companion to burn some energy with. Konjo does need a bit more training on his manners and sometimes jumps up over excited, so he is best suited in a home with no small children. A fenced in yard is best for any high energy dog, so he is hopeful his new family has one. Konjo loves people and dogs he is a really friendly boy who is waiting here at the Haven for his new family. Siberian huskies are classic northern dogs. They are intelligent but somewhat independent and stubborn. They thrive on human company, but need firm, positive training. They are bred to run and their love of running may overcome their love for their guardians at times, so a fully fenced yard is a must! Konjo is vaccinated, microchipped and is neutered.
