Story
3 year old male In foster care since: May 26, 2024 Good with: dogs, children Fostered in Ottawa, Ontario Adoption fee: 700 Hey! Nice to meet you! My name is Roadtrip! Pretty silly name, huh? Well, you need a pretty silly name when you’re a pretty silly boy like me! I am a 3 year old Siberian Husky who was rescued from the dog sledding industry in May with my brother Ridge and my buddy Santa. I’m really enjoying my new life with my foster family and my furry foster siblings. Speaking of my furry foster siblings, I am currently living with 2 husky brothers, and I love them so much! We get along well and love playing together, so I definitely think I would like a home with another playful dog! (I have not been tested with cats). I really enjoy playing games, and I LOVE cuddling, so I hope my new forever family will like those things, too! I’m so friendly and my foster family says that I’m super easy to get along with. Though they do say my excitement can sometimes be hard to contain! I am full of energy and enjoy my walks a lot! I’m really starting to understand how to politely walk on a leash. A halti or gentle lead harness, or a martingale collar, would be the best for me instead of a regular harness, so that I don’t feel like I’m working! Speaking of outdoor time (my favourite!) I will need careful supervision when outdoors, as my jumping skills are top notch and I have already managed to jump a six foot fence more than once. For this reason, I will need to be double leashed while we are still learning about each other and we should probably avoid dog parks. A member of the BSDRO team will connect with you about sled dog safety to equip you with the best ways to keep me safe! I am crate trained and usually happy to hangout there, but I have a bit of fear of missing out, or FOMO, as foster mom calls it. When I'm afraid that you're going to leave me alone for a long time, I'll sometimes use my voice to let you know I'm still here. Foster mama tells me that I'll get more comfortable soon and not be afraid of being alone. My sweet personality and friendly nature make it pretty hard not to fall in love with me! With love, patience, and a bit of training, I’ll be your best friend before you know it! I am neutered and up to date on all relevant vaccines, which means I’m ready to go home when you’re ready to have me! Apply to adopt me with the button above!3 year old male In foster care since: May 26, 2024 Good with: dogs, children Fostered in Ottawa, Ontario Adoption fee: 700 Hey! Nice to meet you! Story
7 year old female - birth date: December 30/2016 In foster care since: March 24, 2024 Fostered in Dorval, Quebec Good with: large male dogs, older children Adoption fee: $300 Meet Rosette! Sister to Toxon (fostered in Southern Ontario) and the ultimate love bug who is ready to find her forever family. Rosette is a 7 year old Alaskan mix who was finally able to retire from the dog sledding industry in March. She is hoping to find her family before the year ends, so that she can celebrate her 8th birthday AND the new year with her new people! Have you ever heard the phrase “from sled dog to bed hog?” Well, Rosette, lovingly known by her foster family as “Rosie”, is the epitome of just that, as you can see from her photos! Whether it’s the couch, her dog bed, or YOUR bed, Rosie will settle in and make herself comfy. Rosie is looking for a family that will provide her with a calm, supportive, and patient environment while she continues to gain her confidence in her new found life. As her foster mom says “Rosie has been serving others her whole life, and now it’s time for us to serve her.” Rosie still has some challenges to overcome, although each day she is becoming more and more the confident dog that she always should have been. She does have some reservations with men, as many of the sleddies rescued in March do, and may take a little while to warm up to them, but with love and patience, she has been able to overcome this fear. A home without cats or small dogs would be ideal for Rosie, though she is great with kids and large dogs. Rosie is the sweetest girl who adores curling up on the couch for a cuddle and a good nap. She’s a simple girl who is loving her retired life and all of the new things she is discovering every day. She has learned the joy of playing with toys, and she loves to run around the yard with her ball. This sweet girl is beyond ready for her forever people! She is fully potty trained, and her leash training continues to improve every day, especially with the right harness and a positive attitude from her people. If you are looking for a dog who you can build a deep connection with, get all the cuddles with, and who will bring you an insane amount of joy, then Rosie is waiting for you! Rosette is spayed, up to date on relevant vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. While she is fostered in Quebec, we do accept adoptive homes throughout Ontario.

Meet Dreamwalker Bradley! Are you searching for a dog who walks dreamily on leash? If so, then Bradley is your boy! Bradley likes people very much, and makes friends with other dogs fairly easily. This boy is fully house trained and crate trained with excellent recall. Bradley is neutered, vaccinated and very healthy. He loves, loves, loves his walks! Bradley's Wishlist: Bradley is looking for a home in either a suburban setting or somewhere in the country. A home without young children (12 and up is fine). A home with or without another balanced dog. A family who will give Bradley plenty of walks, mental and physical activity, and positive stimulation. Someone dedicated to continuing Bradley's education using force-free methods. *We offer training and counselling support through our Doggytime Canine Education Course ~ Pup Parent System with all adoptions. 🐶 Quick Facts 🐾 • Name: Taeyang • Age: Estimated 3 years • Gender: Male • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Husky & Spitz Mix • Color: Grey & White • Weight: 11 kg • Microchip Number: 410100008296166 • Health Information • Vaccinations: o Combination Vaccine: 04/13/2024 o Corona Vaccine: 04/13/2024 o Kennel Cough: 04/20/2024 o Influenza: 04/20/2024 o Rabies: 04/20/2024 • Heartworm Test: Negative as of 07/20/2024 • Dental Check-Up: Scaling done on 03/12/2024 🐕My Story🐕 Hi, I’m Taeyang which means sun in Korean! Like my name means, I’m an energetic, affectionate Husky-Spitz mix with a bright personality and a zest for life. I was given up by my previous family due to unforeseen circumstances, but I’m so ready to find a new, forever home where I can share my loyalty and love. 👨🏻My Social Side 🐕 I’m naturally friendly and can be a bit cautious with new faces, but I warm up quickly, especially if there are treats involved! With kids, I’m gentle and enjoy their company once we’re familiar with each other. I don’t mind being picked up and will even show my belly once we’ve become good friends—it’s my way of saying I trust you. With other dogs, I get along well, especially in open spaces where we can freely interact. I like to greet new furry friends and can be quite playful, though I prefer calmer, less boisterous buddies. If a dog challenges me, I might respond, so it’s best to introduce us gradually to help us become friends. 🔋My Energy Level & Walks🚶 I have a high energy level and thrive with plenty of outdoor activities, like running, playing, and exploring. After a good adventure, I’m more than happy to rest beside you. On walks, I sometimes pull on the leash, but I’m responsive and follow well with gentle guidance. I’m most comfortable in quiet areas, as busier streets with lots of cars can make me a little nervous. When I spot a cat, I might get curious, but I’ll refocus and follow you without much fuss. 💕More About Me😋 At home, I’m not overly protective of my food and happily eat alongside my people. If another dog approaches while I’m eating, I may speak up to communicate my space. I can be vocal if there’s something exciting going on or if I have a request, but it’s only occasional. I also know how to sit and give high-fives—little tricks I’m proud to show off! I’m comfortable with both indoor pads and outdoor potty breaks, so my new family can choose whichever suits our lifestyle best. Sometimes, in new places, I may leave a little mark (my way of saying, “I was here!”), so gentle reminders help. When we go on car rides, I’m calm and composed, and I even know how to get in and out of the car on my own. 💌Last Message💌 Overall, I’m a bright, lovable companion looking for a family who’ll enjoy my energetic spirit and friendly nature. If you’re ready to embark on adventures with a loyal friend, I’d love to be your Taeyang! Could you be the forever family I’m waiting for? 📺 Videos📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DELGt0thlQ&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jz4HhGEvbep_Kx8pdz2yyGZ

Story
🌟 Meet Heeah! 🌟
Hey, future family!
I’m Heeah, a 5-year-old Husky/Jindo mix with a stunning tan and white coat. I might be 15 kg of fluff, but I’ve got a heart full of love and a playful spirit that’s ready to bring joy into your life! 🐾 My Story:
I came to the shelter with another dog, wearing a bright orange collar that matched my sunny personality. Now, I’m searching for a forever home where I can share my affectionate nature and unique charm with a family who’ll appreciate all the love I have to give. 💛 Why I’m Special:
• Affectionate & Friendly: I’m all about the cuddles! Whether you’re an old friend or a new face, I’m quick to warm up, rubbing against you and happily accepting all the pets. Once I’m comfortable, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly—who can resist that? 😄
• Playful Pooch: I love meeting new dogs and always approach with a friendly wag and a playful invitation. Just keep an eye out if there are toys or snacks involved—I might get a little protective. But don’t worry, I’m learning to share! 🐕
• Outdoor Enthusiast: I enjoy my time outside, whether it’s a brisk walk or a playful romp. I’ve got plenty of experience on the leash and follow along nicely without pulling. After a fun day, I’m happy to relax and enjoy some quiet time with you. 🌳
• Calm & Composed: I’m well-behaved in a kennel and prefer to keep my business outside. I’m also pretty quiet, only growling a bit when I need to protect what’s important—like you! 🛏️
• Pretty & Unique: With my mix of Husky and Jindo traits, I’ve got a look that’s as unique as my personality. I’m active and playful, with a friendly nature that makes me a great companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. 🐶 Heeah’s Dream Home:
I’m looking for a family who loves outdoor adventures as much as I do but also appreciates a calm and affectionate companion at the end of the day. I’d do well in a home where I can be active, meet new friends, and maybe even have a cozy spot to curl up in after a fun day. If you’re looking for a playful, loving dog who’s ready to fill your life with joy, I’m your girl! 🏡💕 Ready to make Heeah a part of your family? I can’t wait to meet you and start our journey together! Let’s make every day a new adventure filled with love, fun, and lots of belly rubs. 🐾
With Love,
Heeah 🐕💛
