Story
Canelle is an 8 year old Alaskan mix that we recently rescued from the dog sledding industry. She is the sweetest and most gentlesst girl you'll meet. She is very calm when in the house, but has a very energetic side when she hits the outdoors. Canelle loves being outside in the fresh air, smelling her surroundings. She loves going for walks and loves them so much she wants to go as fast as she can! She does pull for the first 10 minutes of her walks but then calms down once she figures out there is no rush and no need to run. She realizes she can stop and smell the roses! Canelle is great with kids and oves attention from children of all sizes. She loves when they give her belly rubs. Canelle is great with other dogs of all sizes. She will occasionally let out a small low growl if there is a very excited dog in her face but will just turn and walk away. She has never shown any real aggression towards other pups. Even on our walks when we meet new dogs, she shows no aggression. She just keeps on her merry way! Canelle is great in her crate. She never tries to escape the crate, it’s her safe space. She actually loves to cuddle up inside a lot of the time. When we are gone we leave the crate closed and she does great. When we are home the door of her crate is always open so she can come and go when she pleases! She does great with a dog bed and does not chew it. Canelle has been really great with house training. She has only had one accident in the house on the first day she came to us which was from her anxiety, but she has been amazing ever since. Canelle can hold her bladder through the night. When we go outside she knows what to do! Canelle loves soft dog toys but eventually puts a hole in it, so she does go through them! She is a leisurely eater. She will eat when she's hungry and only if she's hungry. She will however take treats whenever offered! This girl will be the most loving addition to her forever home! She is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $400. If you’re interested in adopting her please fill out an adoption form.

Story
Meet Yoko, a 7 year old Alaskan mix we recently rescued from the dog sledding industry. Yoko is not just incredibly smart but also affectionate, loving nothing more than leaning into you for some cuddles. He's a true companion, happiest when he's with his people, ready to join in on hours-long adventures or simply curl up at your feet for a relaxing day indoors. Yoko walks like a dream on a leash, with minimal pulling and a graceful trot that makes it look like he's floating. While he can be strong, especially when walking he will pull harder when he sees other dogs, but he’s just excited. His main priority is always his person. Yoko's confidence shines when he's with someone he trusts, with his tail held high and a spring in his step. However, he can become reserved and anxious when separated from them. He enjoys playing with squeaky toys and has shown interest in using a Kong, although he can be a bit picky with his food. Some tasty gravy or a mix of kibble and raw food might do the trick! Yoko has been calm around cats but hasn’t come in direct contact with them. So a slow introduction is always best. Yoko is eagerly waiting to become someone's new best friend! Yoko will soon be neutered, is microchipped and up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $500. If you’re interested in adopting him please fill out an adoption form

Introducing Boston, the ultimate buddy for dogs and people alike! Boston is a social butterfly, getting along great with other dogs, although he hasn't met any cats yet. He's fantastic with kids and teens, spreading love wherever he goes. Although he started off shy, he's blossomed into a playful pup who adores attention and enjoys playing with toys. He's mostly house-trained, with just a few accidents along the way. He sleeps right through the night on his cozy bed. Boston loves the outdoors, especially watching birds and squirrels, and enjoys his walks, even though he can be a bit of a puller. He's still getting used to different noises but is curious about everything around him. With his beautiful brown eyes and loving nature, Boston is sure to steal your heart. Boston’s adoption fee is $500. He has been dewormed, is microchipped, is UTD on vaccines and will soon be neutered. If you're interested in adopting him please fill out an adoption form

Story
Hi everyone, my name is Rosette but my foster mom calls me Rosie. I’ve been crossing my paws every night in hopes of finding my furever home. I am an Alaskan mix, and finally got the chance to retire from the dog sledding industry. So much has changed for me which has been exciting but pretty scary and confusing. After living outside on a chain for 8 yrs, and having to withstand both extreme cold and hot temperatures every day, I can honestly say I don’t mind laying on my own bed and just watching the snow and rain fall from inside. I have been living with my foster mom now for over a month and I only had one accident, but I had an upset tummy then. I always go to the door to let my humans know it’s potty time. I love these tasty things called treats and my foster mom says I’m incredibly gentle and polite when I take it from her hand. I am unsure of these things they call toys and what to do with them, but, I do have a small red squeak toy that I bury in my bed every night and then I like to pat down my bed, its so comfy and I sleep all night. My manners are excellent in the house but when I go outside on walks, I get so nervous of all the loud noises I’ve never heard before so I pull very hard on my leash to get back home and onto my comfy couch. I think I just have to get used to the noises and eventually I’ll realize more and more that those sounds can’t hurt me. I have a foster brother named Jake, he’s ok for a Shihtzu I guess, but he barks so loud and I’m so quiet. I also have a foster dad too, I’m still pretty shy of him, he can pet me but I’m taking a while to really let my guard down with everyone. A definitely prefer a more quiet household. Rosette will be spayed on May 13th. She is dewormed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400. If you’re interested in adopting her please fill out an application

Story
Ho ho ho! Santa, here! Yes - Santa - like the old man in the suit! I’m not an old man, though (I’m only 2), and I don’t wear a suit (cause I’m a husky-malamute, silly), but I will bring your family Christmas cheer all year long! Here are some presents I will bring to your home if you pick me: I am house and crate trained. I do mark in the house to start, but I am not yet neutered (we are working on that), so this behaviour will likely change once that’s done. I know how to sit, lay down, and shake a paw. I am a very social boy and love other dogs and people (cats, probably not cause I love to chase rabbits and birds outside). Gosh, do I love people!! I will jump up to give you kisses when I first meet you (though I am told not everyone likes that, so we are working on manners). I also really want to be a lap dog! And walking? Well that’s just the best thing ever, isn’t it? I walk well on a gentle leader and am still learning leash skills. I would be a fantastic running buddy if you’re into that! And the best gift of all is that I am very trainable! I’m so eager to please, I will do absolutely anything for treats and attention. I'm ready and willing to learn if you're ready to have me!
