Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LENNAN hails from the northern community of Pikangikum and was part of our Heart Litter who came south to find their forever families. He’s had his first 2 sets of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. We have no information on either parent so the breed he is and the size he’ll grow to be is just a guess. This happy, energetic little guy is a perfect combination of snuggles and energy. He loves being around his people and playing with his many dog toys. LENNAN is crate trained and will sleep quietly in it at night and also take naps in there during the day. He’s really good at using the bathroom outside and has very few accidents in the home but if he does go there are pee pads by the door that he’ll use. It’s still a work in progress though as he’s not at the stage to ask to go outside yet. He loves to go on walks and like all puppies, he excitedly runs ahead of you. He’s at a chewing stage right now as he’s teething so he has several chewy toys plus Nyla bones to keep him busy. He has no food aggression but does it quickly so a is feeder would be a good investment for him. He knows a few basic commands and will sit for his meals and take treats “gentle.” He’s a very smart guy and picks up very quickly on commands. LENNAN’s ideal family would be an active one who loves the outdoors, going on hikes, walks and will take him on an adventure or two. He’s meet a few dogs and has got on well with them so he should suit living with another one. He hasn’t met a cat but if a dog is cat savvy and with a slow, monitored introduction he should be able to live in a home with a cat or another dog but would do equally as well in his home provided he wasn’t left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6 and up and he does require a fenced-in yard. Puppies are cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We need his adopter to take him for puppy obedience/training to help him become a well mannered and good boy. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and his potential adopter must be in agreement to have his neuter by the time he’s 9 months of age or 60lbs (which ever comes first.) It will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. We do need it to still be performed by 9 months of age and we need a copy of the invoice and a picture of him (preferably in a cone after the surgery) in order to receive the reimbursement.  If LENNAN sounds like he’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet him.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 15, 2025, 6:50 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Timber,Neutered MaleHusky x German Shepherd Mixapprox. 5 years oldI'm an charming and affectionate pup, eager to share my love with everyone. Currently, I am one of the longest-standing residents at the Georgina Animal Shelter, patiently waiting for my forever home. When I first arrived, I was anxious and scared, displaying signs of resource guarding. However, I've made significant strides and have grown immensely over the past year with the dedication of trainers and wonderful staff. I'm a fun loving dog who loves to spend time outdoors, whether it's enjoying the scent of beautiful flowers or catching snowflakes. Throughout my extended stay at the shelter, I've experienced tremendous growth. Just like a magnificent butterfly, I am undergoing a transformation and one of the most rewarding aspects is that you could be part of this journey, making me the ideal companion for your lifestyle. Story
Konjo is a 1-year-old Husky who is waiting for his new home. He is an active boy who loves to play and has that typical Husky personality. Konjo is learning to walk on leash and would do well with an Easy Walk no pull harness. He loves other dogs and would do great with a companion to burn some energy with. Konjo does need a bit more training on his manners and sometimes jumps up over excited, so he is best suited in a home with no small children. A fenced in yard is best for any high energy dog, so he is hopeful his new family has one. Konjo loves people and dogs he is a really friendly boy who is waiting here at the Haven for his new family. Siberian huskies are classic northern dogs. They are intelligent but somewhat independent and stubborn. They thrive on human company, but need firm, positive training. They are bred to run and their love of running may overcome their love for their guardians at times, so a fully fenced yard is a must! Konjo is vaccinated, microchipped and is neutered.
