Hi, I`m Charlie, a wonderful, positive, life of the party kind of guy! I am very affectionate and love to be around people. I know my basic commands (sit, off, lay down) and am excited to learn so much more. I`m still working on my manners, but I am eager to please you and a great learner. I`m always ready for a game or a fun training session. I`m looking for a forever home where I can share all my love and energy. Adopting me means gaining a loyal buddy who will always be there to cheer you up and keep you active. Let`s start our fun journey together!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: I am friendly with everyone, and would be best suited to older children.CATS: I like to chase cats.OTHER DOGS: I get along well with other dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Experience with large dog breeds is recommended but not required.FENCED-IN YARD: A fenced in yard or a rural property would be best for me. I`ll need some training to stay on the property. HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: I would do well in a busy or quiet household.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: I would do okay being left alone for 8 hours/regular work shift. I am working on my crate training.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME....ACTIVITY LEVEL: HighHOUSE-TRAINED: Yes!BIRTH DATE: September 3, 2023 (Estimated)

Story
Slate came into the shelter as a surrender with his brother Montana. They are looking for home separately but if someone wanted to adopt them together that would be lovely too! Slate is a very friendly, well-mannered confident boy! He loves to talk and sing with you. He would be good with children, still need to be respectful to the dog. He is very vocal to new dogs/ he barks at them, slow introductions would be best He knows all his basic commands. He has high interest in cats and will chase. People experienced with vocal dogs would benefit him. A fenced in area is a must for Slate because he loves to run around and loves the outdoors. He can be vocal so an apartment environment would not be best for him, a busy or quiet household would benefit him. A normal work week left alone at home would be fine with Slate / He is crate trained. Activity level: is medium House trained: YES Birthday: 12/18/2023

AGE: 3 Years SEX: Female BREED: Northern Mix ENERGY LEVEL: Medium DOG FRIENDLY?: Yep! CAT FRIENDLY?: Untested KID FRIENDLY?: Yep! Meet Wendy! This sweet, affectionate girl is a total lovebug who soaks up every bit of attention she can get. She adores cuddles, hugs, belly rubs, and any excuse to be close to her people. Wendy loves to play - fetch is a favourite - and she takes great joy in destroying squeaky toys with enthusiasm. She’s also been wonderful about learning boundaries in her foster home, picking up household routines quickly and settling into family life with ease. Wendy does beautifully in a busy downtown environment, staying calm and confident around all the sights and sounds. She’s very friendly with people and has met kids on her walks, happily leaning in for pets every time. She likes other dogs as well and enjoys regular playdates with the neighbour’s dog. She does have some prey drive toward small animals, but with guidance and routine, she’s learning how to navigate walks politely. Indoors she’s generally quiet, though she may whine when left alone, and she’s currently working on crate training as she’s not a huge fan yet, but her fosters are helping her learn that it’s a safe, cozy space. At home, Wendy loves being near her people and greets guests with warmth, always hoping for more pets and belly rubs. She’s social, gentle, and eager to connect, making her a wonderful companion for a home that enjoys affection as much as she does. If you’re looking for a friendly, cuddly, people-loving pup who’s ready to be part of everyday life, Wendy may be the perfect match for your family! Story
AGE: 1.5 Years SEX: Female BREED: Husky Mix ENERGY LEVEL: High DOG FRIENDLY?: Yep! CAT FRIENDLY?: Yep! KID FRIENDLY?: Yep! Meet Autumn! Autumn is a playful, fun-loving girl who enjoys long walks and is always eager for new adventures. She loves making new dog friends, soaking up belly rubs, and is a huge fan of her toys - she’ll happily grab the nearest one to chew on and would be delighted if you tossed it for her to chase! Autumn is a happy, social pup who enjoys meeting both people and other dogs. She has welcomed guests into the home with ease, giving them space and respect, yet always excited to greet them warmly. While she enjoys canine companionship and currently lives with another dog, Autumn does best with slow, calm introductions when meeting new dogs, allowing her to settle in and build positive connections at her own pace. Once comfortable, she’s playful, friendly, and loves spending her days playing and hanging out, though she is just as content to settle down afterward. She’s very food motivated, which makes training a breeze! Puzzle toys are a big hit with her and are a great way to channel her energy and keep her mind busy. While she can be a bit strong on the leash, she and her fosters recently worked with a trainer, and she’s making excellent progress. She’s also kid and cat friendly, and would be thrilled to share her home with dogs, cats, and children. Autumn currently lives downtown and does well in that environment, but she would be just as happy living outside the hustle and bustle with some extra room to run! She is both crate and house trained and settles within minutes when left alone. She loves being near her people and, although not overly snuggly, she enjoys affection on her own terms. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic companion to join you on your daily adventures, Autumn might be the perfect match! Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Autumn? Story
Junior is a good natured, engaging 6-month old Husky puppy. He is friendly with people, gentle & respectful of small dogs, & loves to romp & play with larger dogs in the back yard.. He is healthy, intelligent, learns quickly & rolls over for tummy rubs often!. Also, he is house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, & crate trained. Junior responds to the basic commands for come, sit, lay down, & crate. He rides quietly tethered in the backseat of the car & often just sleeps. He would love to find a furever home where he is a treasured member of an active family, & not left alone all day. Kids over age 12 years should be okay. He can still be 'puppy mouthy'. He enjoys a home with a fenced backyard where he can play. He likes balls & stuffies, but does not destroy them. He is respectful & does not destroy or chew on furniture. Experience with active young dogs would be helpful. Would that be you? Please contact Sue: sgaskell63@gmail.com. Adoption fee: $800.00
