Story
Here in Canada come meet him Name: Rainbow (20220510-03) Weight: 25 kg / 55 lbs Age: 4.5 years Gender: male Spayed/Neutered: Yes 5/03/22 Breed: Husky mix Colour: cream Neck size (for collar): Height (from top of head): Length (from nose to base of tail): Crate size recommended: L to. XL Good with women: yes Good with men: yes Good with kids: older children Good with other dogs: selective - will do best with females and calm males Good with cats: unknown House trained: not 100% but getting better Crate trained: yes Energy level: med/high - energetic Can be handled/touched: yes Barker: no Flight risk: maybe Food aggressive: Yes - once he learns that he will have constant meals this should subside Current food: Pulsar Walks on leash: yes but is a puller Leash reactive to people or dogs: may react to unknown dogs Rides well in car: yes, in crate Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: yes Needs a home with another dog: should be only dog for now Can live in an apartment: no History: Came from Norway House. He spent his life tied up outdoors and is still getting used to being an indoor dog. Additional comments: Rainbow is a beautiful husky mix that was rescued in Manitoba. He has since travelled to Ontario in search of his forever home and is dying to meet you! Poor Rainbow was chained for most of his life and was attacked over and over again by neighbourhood dogs. Because he was chained he had no way to run away or defend himself from these attacks and has suffered some trauma because of this. He will need very slow introductions to other dog, and does best with females and calm and submissive males. Rainbow is an absolute sweetheart and loves people. It is so evident that he knows he’s been saved and is so thankful in the way he acts toward his humans. He just wants to cuddle and give love. He was recently groomed and was such a good boy! We are looking for a home for Rainbow that understands that he will be fear reactive toward dogs that he does not know, and are willing to work with him and show him that not all dogs are bad and that he will never be hurt or attacked again. Living in a home is still new to him, but he is making amazing progress with his housetraining! He is great in the car and loves car rides. His foster mom is confident that he will be very easy to train, he just needs to learn what is expected of him. Rainbow may show a bit of food aggression in the beginning, only because he was starved and had his food stolen by other dogs. Once he learns that he has a constant food source we are very confident that this will subside. We know his person is out there, do you have it in your heart to take a chance on him?

Story
Meet Cosmo! This mellow, big-hearted pup is ready to find his forever home! Cosmo is a friendly and affectionate pup who enjoys meeting new people and dogs. While he’s still learning the ropes of the world, he takes everything in stride, rolling with the punches like a true easygoing guy. Inside the house, Cosmo is a mix of relaxed and playful - he loves lounging around but will happily get up to explore, play with his toys, or chase a ball in the backyard. He especially enjoys cuddles and will lean into you for as many pets as you’ll give. When his humans come home, he greets them with excited tail wags and snuggles. Cosmo currently lives with a cat and an 8-year-old child. He’s been gentle and playful with the child and is curious about the cat, though he respects the cat’s space when told. He has met one dog so far and greeted them with happy tail wags and play cues. Walking on a leash is a new experience for Cosmo, but he’s picking it up quickly! He’s not reactive to traffic, people, or other dogs and enjoys sniffing everything around him. He’s also working on crate training; though he cried at first, he’s learning to settle and even hangs out in his crate with the door open. House training is a work in progress, but he’s getting there! Cosmo would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of love, playtime, and gentle guidance as he grows. Whether you're looking for a snuggly companion or a laid-back adventure buddy, Cosmo is ready to be your best friend! Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Cosmo? Story
Meet Tia! Tia is a husky who isn’t your typical independent sled dog, she’s all about her people! She’s incredibly affectionate, snuggly, and would spend all day cuddling if she could. While she’s naturally curious and loves to explore, she’s also quite relaxed and listens well. Tia is a dream on leash with no reactivity, making her a joy to walk (and potentially a great running buddy with a little training!). Her favourite treat? Peanut butter! She absolutely loves it and is also starting to enjoy trick training. Though she can be wary of new sounds and objects like the vacuum, she’s easily reassured with encouragement. When meeting new people, Tia is friendly and opens up easily, always happy to soak up pets and attention. She hasn’t been around children, but given her sweet nature, she’d likely do well with respectful kids. She’s also met other dogs on walks and remains calm and neutral, showing mild curiosity. While she hasn’t lived with other pets, she does have a high prey drive, so a home without small animals and cats would be best. Tia is fully house trained and does great in her crate - when her people are home. However, she struggles with being left alone and is working on crate training for longer periods. She’s making progress, but her forever home should be patient and willing to continue helping her build confidence and independence. The ideal home for Tia would be with a loving family who can provide plenty of snuggles, structure, and continued confidence building. She’d thrive in a home where someone is around often, at least while she works through her separation anxiety. Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Tia?
