Oden's playful nature is contagious, and his smart, independent streak makes him a joy to be around. He's brave, facing each day with a wagging tail and a twinkle in his eye. Oden loves his best friend Nero dearly, showing that his capacity for love is boundless. Adopt Oden and Nero today, and you'll gain not just two pets, but two loyal friends and a source of endless amusement. Their zest for life is infectious and their ready to share it with a loving family.Oden and Nero both have plenty of energy, so they're looking for an active family who can match their playful spirits. They'll need a little help with leash training, but with their friendly and eager personalities, they're sure to learn quickly.If you would like to meet us, we're staying at the Barrie Animal Centre located at 91 Patterson Road. Our adoption hours are 11am - 5pm, 7 days a week, or give us a call at 705-728-7311. Story
Konjo is a 1-year-old Husky who has been waiting a very long time for his new home. He is an active boy who loves to play and has that typical Husky personality. Konjo is learning to walk on leash and would do well with an Easy Walk no pull harness. He loves other dogs and would do great with a companion to burn some energy with. Konjo does need a bit more training on his manners and sometimes jumps up over excited, so he is best suited in a home with no small children. A fenced in yard is best for any high energy dog, so he is hopeful his new family has one. Konjo loves people and dogs and is waiting here at the Haven for his new family. I may need some guidance to help me come out of my shell, treat me sweet and kind and I will blossom.My reactions to:Cats - I've lived in a home with cats though as I can be nervous and unsure of new things I would benefit with a slow calm introductionDogs - I can be anxious, nervous and potential territorial around other dogs, for the time being I'd prefer being the only canine in the homeMeeting new people - I adore meeting everyone, give me a good butt scratch or yummy treat, we'll be the best of friends Children - As I can be overly excited and bouncy, I may benefit from a home with older children or a slow introduction to smaller childrenObedience training - I'm still learning and would benefit some extra time though I've shown great improvement during my time at the shelterLeash walking - I can display excitement and eagerness on my leash. I would benefit from some extra attention, but like everyone says practice makes perfect!Crates/My kennel - I am still adjusting to my kennel though I've shown great improvement entering/exiting with ease.
