Husky puppies and dogs in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Hi, my name is Kiwi. I am from Minnesota. I am a fun, loving husky who enjoys people and dogs! My foster family does not have cats but they have a husky mix whom I LOVE, love, love to play with. In my foster home I live with adults, 2 kids (ages 11 & 9) and 1 dog. I am still a young pup so I am learning my manners and working on always going potty outside. My foster says I do a great job going bathroom outside as long as I am kept on my schedule. I am lucky that one of my foster adults work from home so I have a lot of playtime! I love squeaky toys and when the resident dog needs a break from playtime, I happily keep myself busy playing with toys and taking a nap! At night I sleep in my kennel and my foster mom says I am such a good girl! I am quiet all night long and have such a happy, wagging tail when it's time to get up! Thanks for reading this! The Vet team at the shelter I came from said I am a total Ham and LOVE attention. I have not been tested with cats, but love other dogs. I still have puppy energy so would need to be around kids who are comfortable with a bundle of joy!

Welcome Maz to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Maz is a 5 month old pup that is Husky/Staffordshire Terrier. A picture of the mom and dad are available. Both are very friendly and social dogs. The pups would be good with children. We like them to be 8 or older. The unspayed female was around the male and in just minutes she was pregnant with 10 puppies. These 5 are still available for adoption. All have had 3 rounds of puppy shots, microchipped and will be altered before adoption. Their mom is 65 pounds so we think these pups will be 65 pounds. They know sit, wait and are the ultimate water dogs. They like to play and swim in the foster’s swimming pool. They would all make great camping companions. They love other dogs and all people including kiddos. They have the bushy coat like the Husky and several of them have ice-blue eyes. Maz is the biggest female. She is 3nd biggest in the litter. She is relaxed and one of the least vocal. She is a nice girl and since he is the biggest girl we think he will for sure be 65 pounds. She is mostly potty trained but will need more consistency than the foster can provide with 4 puppies. They are good in a crate and in a car. They are currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get any of this litter (2 girls and 2 boys) to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. The pups would be good with children. Lia is the most shy of the 4 pack. All these pups are smart and willing to learn and work well when you train with them. She would be fine with children. I love to be the first one to do things like walk through an open door, meet new people, or even see if something is edible! Hee, hee!! I also love to roll around, play with my Nerf soccer ball, and chew on toys. I actually like to eat my toys and am possessive of those I’m playing with so I need to be closely supervised because I will bite if a toy is taken away from me. I get along with other dogs, but I have not met any cats, and kids are not a good fit for me. I am a very friendly boy, but I do tend to nibble people to show affection, get attention, or to warn that I don’t like something. I am a typical Husky who not only loves to pull on the leash and run when off leash, but I’m an escape artist too! It’s true, I’ve broken out of a wire crate and even destroyed items in a room…no walls, doors, floors, or anything but still, I will need a securely fenced yard at my new home. I should also not have any shared walls because when I’m left alone or in the kennel/crate I can holler for a couple hours. I am a smart guy who knows what “sit” & “down” mean, and not only am I potty trained, but I am super good about letting you know I need to go out by grabbing my tail! I am also very gentle when it comes to taking treats although I can be a bit picky about them! Hee, hee!!  I'd love to be your running partner or go on hikes and adventures.  If you don't have a fenced in yard, but do go for daily walks/runs and can commit to my exercise needs while taking me out to potty on leash, let's chat! When I first came up to Underdog, I tested positive for heartworms. We got rid of those pesky bugs and now I just need that heartworm pill monthly, year round! I am a very goofy boy who is simply looking for my fur-ever home with a patient, Husky-savvy family who will love me unconditionally and NEVER give up on me!! Sure, I may take a bit to warm up, but I promise that once I do, I will love you more than you could ever imagine and with proper exercise I am a huge lover who will snuggle like nobody’s business!
