Story
Kallea is my heart in dog form silly, sensitive, and full of life. She’s the kind of soul who follows you everywhere, makes you laugh when you need it most, and rests her head on your knee when words fall short. I took her in at one year old when she didn’t trust anyone, not even a touch and with time, she learned what love feels like. She adores her walks, her stuffed toys (say “toy” see for yourself), and the soft spot between her eyes being scratched gently (especially during nap time). She’ll dance for food, talk to you when you’re late, remind you how special it feels to be loved unconditionally. She was once bitten by a big dog, so she can be cautious, but her trust comes quickly and her joy is contagious. Life has become uncertain for me, and I can’t be selfish anymore. She deserves so much more. A stable loving home where she can feel safe, have her zoomies in peace, and the snuggles she can’t get enough of. She’s pure joy, & whoever gets her will gain a piece of magic.

🐾 Meet Ada – The Adventure Buddy Who’s Been Waiting Too Long! 🐾
3 and a half months in care… and still no interest. Let’s change that! Ada is a gorgeous 3-year-old, 60-pound lovebug who has been so patient waiting for her forever family. She’s been living in a foster home this whole time, so you know exactly what you’re getting: a fun, affectionate, house-ready girl who will slide right into family life. If you’re looking for an enthusiastic companion, Ada is your girl. She lives for outdoor fun—water adventures, long walks, meeting new people, chasing balls, you name it. She’s full of life and happiest when she’s moving, exploring, and being part of whatever you’re doing. She even powered through a 5-mile walk recently and loved every second! Ada is smart and learning quickly. Her leash skills are improving (less pulling now!), and she just needs someone who can keep a good pace and enjoy adventures with her. She’s wonderful with kids and good with everyone—though she tends to pick a favorite person to be her shadow. She’s also working on her relationship with the resident cat. And the cuddles… oh, the cuddles. Ada isn’t just a snuggler; she needs that connection. It’s like affection recharges her emotional battery. She leans in with her whole heart (and maybe her paws). After a day of play, exploring, and being your adventure buddy, Ada transforms into the ultimate couch companion—soft, warm, and completely devoted. ✨ Ada has waited far too long for her person. Could it be you?
She’ll fill your days with joy, your home with love, and your nights with the sweetest snuggles.

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Huck – Your Missing Puzzle Piece 🐾 Age: 3 years Weight: 43 lbs Breed blend: Alaskan Klee Kai (compact Husky-type charm!) Huck isn’t just a dog — he’s a ray of sunshine with four paws and a tail. With his playful spirit, gentle nature, happy disposition and love for people and animals, he’s always in good spirits and ready for life’s next adventure. Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.

Story
HI - I'M SEBASTIAN! I'm a sweet, gentle, and loving 1-year-old Siberian Husky mix ready to start my life with an awesome person or people. I was recently rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter in California, in the nick of time. I am good with other dogs, love people and would make a wonderful companion for an active person, couple or family who loves to walk, hike or go on road trips! I get along great with everyone - and I weigh only 48 lbs. I'm the perfect size. I really dodged a bullet -- I was made urgent for lack of space at the shelter -- and I would love a chance to be adopted by an amazing person or people. Please email for an application. I'm looking for a foster or forever home, and am currently located in California but can be transported to Minnesota.

Story
Hi! I'm Polar Vortex.  I am a lovable, stubborn, energetic pup around 3-4 years old! True I am a big puppy and I need lots of guidance and training to ensure that I am set up for success in my life. Where I am staying currently there are no toys, human food or treats allowed as I haven't fully learned how to share. I love playing with the resident dogs. Speaking of the resident dogs I am with, I LOVE PLAYING ROUGH with them. I love to raise my big strong paw and give a smack to get the wrestling match started! I am a stereotypical Malamute in that respect. My foster mom says that it comes with Malamute territory and with being a puppy. I know how to kennel up, and I have been allowed to free roam when the humans leave. I didn’t cause trouble either way while the humans were away. I do eat my meals in the kennel so I can eat in peace, again not a fan of sharing... yet. I am a very smart, yet stubborn. I do not care for car rides at the moment. I will get into the car if and when I choose. My foster mommy is working on enticing me with treats to get into the car. I will admit, it is starting to work. I am still a puppy who wants to play. I am eager to learn the skills though and once I have them my foster mom says I will be a wonderful companion. Ooooh, and I almost forgot, I take treats very nice, you hardly know I am grabbing the treat from your hand. I am almost fully potty trained! My foster mommy also calls me her “little” velcro puppy. I want to make sure she is still home so I follow her everywhere. I really like sleeping with her at night on the big soft bed. She finds it funny that I currently don’t jump onto the couches, but I have no issue sleeping on the big soft bed with her at night. Who knows, maybe I will surprise everyone and start jumping onto the couches as I now understand the pleasures of sleeping on a human bed.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $475.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 13, 2025, 7:22 pm
