Beau will be 2 in February. He is a fixed German Shephard / Siberian Husky Mix. Treat Trained. Knows commands. Can be vocal around new people but acclimates fairly quickly and stays quiet. Good walker. Better as a single home dog with adults and /or older children, no cats. He currently lives with his "sister", a young female German Shepherd, but would likely thrive solo. Active pretty guy who is very gentle, loves cheese, toys, peanut butter, and belly scratches. He e is crate trained, house trained, and has multiple beds & toys we can provide. He loves walks or running in a fenced yard, and horseplay. Due to a progressing cancer diagnosis, we need to find him a loving forever home asap.

Story
Hi! I'm Berlin, an exceptionally handsome 2-year-old Husky, weighing in at 55 pounds of playful affection. I'm eagerly looking to find my pack and here to tell you a bit about me in case you're it!Although I can be momentarily a bit shy when first meeting someone, I'll quickly warm up and consider you a friend. I become incredibly affectionate to anyone that gets to know me, showering my people with plenty of kisses and snuggles. I have the most adorable habit of wrapping my legs around yours to keep you close.I LOVE dogs and gladly co-habitate with 3 resident pups currently in my foster home. I'll show a friendly hello to other dogs out and about by sniffing and wagging my tail. When it comes to cats, we shouldn't mix. As for kids, I have previously lived harmoniously with an eight-year-old and would likely do well with kids of any age, although the younger ones may get knocked over! When it comes to crate training, I am pretty awesome as I particularly like the comfort my crate provides, and am used to sleeping and eating in my crate. Although I might be slightly bummed when you leave the house initially, I'll settle into some time alone with no issues and don't get anxious. I also am chill in the car, and am always ready for a new adventure. As with many dogs my breed, I can be vocal in communicating with my humans, but mostly when I need to go out and want to play or when you've just come back and I want to say hello. I'm not particularly vocal all things considered.I'm a guy with energy so I thrive most on regular exercise and would benefit from a tall fenced-in yard (e.g., 6-foot privacy fence would be the best) where I can run and play safely.I can be a bit picky with my food choices, but with trial and error you'll figure out some of my favorite things, like zucchini and sweet potato, I'm a healthy guy! You'll want to be sure to give me a good brush/groom regularly to keep me looking my best with my beautiful thick coat.My priorities for my ideal home include love, patience and plenty of playtime! Are you looking for an affectionate, playful pup in return? Whether it's chasing toys, enjoying cuddles on the couch, or going for a run, I'll always be your loyal companion to take on life with.If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling:https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities.

Story
This 6-year-old Husky is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly! At 65 pounds, Bandit is a large, playful, and sweet boy who is ready to be your partner in crime. He is always ready to cuddle up to you and he'll let you know—he's happy to paw at you or nudge your arm with his nose to get your attention!Like many Huskies, Bandit has plenty of energy and would thrive with multiple walks or play sessions daily. He enjoys gnawing on bones or teething toys, and matches the energy of younger dogs during playtime. Despite his high energy, he’s calm and relaxed when it’s just him. Bandit has had great experiences with other dogs and with children. He is friendly and has previously lived with multiple children, so he makes for a great family dog! While his behavior with cats is unknown, Bandit is generally good-natured and adaptable.Bandit has adapted to his new foster home very well so far, though some training will still be needed. He’s crate-trained, comfortable spending time there when needed, and occasionally naps in his crate voluntarily. He is house-trained, and stays calm and respectful with belongings when home alone. When it comes to future training, he will still need to break his habit of marking his territory indoors, and stealing food off of plates—he's just so quick! Bandit is also a classic Husky escape artist, so he will require a secure, fenced yard to ensure his safety. This cuddly, energetic Husky is ready for a family who can provide him with the exercise, training, and love he needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal and playful companion who doubles as a couch cuddler, Bandit is your guy!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Story
Have you even seen a cuter husky? This 2-year-old, 60-pound Siberian Husky has a stunning black-and-white coat and a personality as charming as his looks! Whether he's tossing toys around, having fun with friends at doggie daycare, or crossing his front paws in his signature lounging pose, Dodger will steal your heart. This sweet and playful boy is fully house-trained and crate-trained—his crate is his cozy safe haven. Dodger has adjusted well into his foster home, bonding very easily and getting comfortable on all the furniture. He loves to talk, especially when he's excited to come out of his crate or ready to play. He thrives on daily activity, like going for runs with his humans, long walks, or playing with other dogs. While he's not overly hyper, he does need consistent exercise to stay happy, and could use a little more leash training. Because of his loud talking and his energy levels, Dodger will need a fenced yard with a 4-foot fence minimum or a running partner, and a home without shared walls (no apartments/condos).Dodger loves playing with other dogs, but is still learning from always being an only-dog. He gets along with his foster sister and could adjust to having a canine sibling or enjoy being the sole center of attention. However, he does not share toys well or play well with small dogs, so a home where this can be managed effectively is important. While Dodger could be a great family dog because he gets along well with children, he will not be able to live in a home with cats.If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and talkative companion, Dodger is ready to charm his way into your heart and home!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Name: Yuki Sex: Female Color: Isabella White Eye Color: Brown Birthday: 11/15/20 Weight: 40 Large Dog Friendly: Yes, she does really well with all the dogs she meets at the dog park. At home she tends to get nervous with other dogs when they are too hyper or wild. Small Dog Friendly: Unknown Cat Friendly: No Crate Trained: At this time, no, as she is not used to being in a crate. Appears to have some separation anxiety and will need work to get crate trained. Housebroken: Yes Energy Level: She is typically very calm, but does get zoomies and likes to run around. She would do best in a home where she can relax, cuddle and get all the belly rubs! She also loves walks, and regular runs in a fenced in yard/area Reaction to New People: She is shy at first, but warms up quickly and loves pets. Needs to work on socialization with new people and situations Kid Friendly: Older and calmer would be best for her, as young kids and their noises and quick movements make her nervous. Training: She knows the basics, but could use some better leash manners as she likes to jump around and go all husky when asked to go potty. She needs socialization to learn some confidence in new/public situations. Like most huskies, she is a runner, so caution by the doors and getting in and out of the car is needed. Fence: Currently she goes out on a leash to go potty and then back in, as she does not appear to like the cold as much as a lot of huskies. She does respect the fence at a dog park, but at home would need to be on a tie out or supervised as she will dig under or try to climb out. Solo or Siblings: She would love to be the lone center of human attention, but could also like a sibling to play with, depending on the dog as she can be picky about her playmates and if they are too hyper she can be nervous. From the Foster: Yuki is a furry little princess that loves all the attention. She is overall pretty calm, but also has her husky zoomies. Since a small pup, she has always been a bit shy and hesitant in unknown situations/people and needs to build her confidence, but she does love to explore, and would benefit from socialization and group training class. Like a typical husky, she loves to run, climb, jump etc, so may also benefit from joring or agility classes. She is tolerant of baths, but is scared of water otherwise, and will tip-toe through wet grass. She loves attention and belly rubs, and will lay on her back and paw at you or reach out to you for more if you stop. She is an all around adventurous, loving, curious and goofy girl who needs a best friend to cuddle, experience life with, and to help her overcome her nervousness/fear of the world. Adoption Fee: $50 - Submit an adoption application during the month of December and upon approval Yuki will be available at the reduced adoption fee. All dogs coming into Adopt a Husky Minnesota receive care tailored to their needs, including: Nose-to-tail exam with a partner veterinarian, Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella), 4DX test to check for heartworm or tick exposure, Fecal Analysis, Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative, Spay/Neuter prior to adoption, Microchip, and are evaluated for temperament and trainability.

Story
Name: Teddy Color: Red & White Eye Color: Blue Birthday: 09-24-2021 (estimated) Weight: 60 Large dog friendly: Yes, prefers females. Can be selective meeting dogs on leash. Small dog friendly: No Cat friendly: No, strong prey drive Crate trained: Yes, but does whine, pace and bark. He had a history of soiling his kennel too. We are using a prescribed medication (prosac) to help ease his anxiety and are seeing amazing results. It's an inexpensive med, costing just $8 for a sixty day supply. He has complete free roam of the house when home alone now. Has never been destructive. House-trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Reaction to new people: Friendly Kid friendly: Loves kids Training: Knows sit, paw, lay-down Normal husky coat which will require regular brushing. You should aim for once a week or so, and more when he is blowing his coat, typically twice a year. Fence: Strong tie-out recommended. He is an escape artist (can climb fences, and flip up gate latches) Solo or siblings: Requires a sibling, was adopted as a solo dog and was anxious, Just wasn't the right environment for him. From the foster: Need a snuggle buddy? Teddy is the one to keep you cozy at night and "aaaoooohhh" sweet nothings. Teddy gets along best with female dogs, and will take redirection well from dogs and humans. He tends to jump when greeting people and likes to counter surf. Teddy paces to let you know when he needs to go out. He enjoys walking nicely on the leash (not pulling too hard), followed by cuddles on the couch with his foster and the kids, nudging them for pets. Teddy does have some separation anxiety when home alone. Shared walls/apartment living would not be a good fit as he can be noisy at times, he is getting better and many times will go lay in his crate by choice when we are home. He recently started having free roam and has been doing really good! He is by far one of the sweetest and lovable huskies you'll ever meet. Adoption Fee: $50 - Submit an adoption application during the month of December and upon approval Teddy will be available at the reduced adoption fee.
