Story
Meet Milo, the lovable and energetic Husky with a heart as big as his paws! With his striking blue eyes and thick, fluffy coat, Milo is a true embodiment of Husky charm. Known for his playful nature and friendly demeanor, he’s always ready to chase after an adventure or snuggle up for some downtime. A classic Husky, he’s got a ton of energy and loves to run, play, and explore the great outdoors. But when the fun winds down, he’s just as content curling up with his favorite human and soaking up all the affection he can get. Milo’s intelligence is matched only by his mischievous side—he loves to keep you on your toes, especially if there’s a door he can open or something fun he can find. Despite his independent streak, he’s fiercely loyal and always wants to be part of the action, whether it’s hiking, playing in the snow, or just hanging out around the house. Whether he's running full-speed with the wind in his fur or giving you a gentle nudge for attention, Milo is sure to bring joy and love to anyone lucky enough to call him family. Milo's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website. www.northernlakesrescue.org

Story
This girl is a stunner, and she knows it! Charlie is a sweet and friendly, 2-year-old, 68.6-pound Siberian Husky mix who came to the shelter from the reservation up north. She has the classic husky personality that we all know and love. She`s extremely playful, excited, and vocal! She loves people and even has some canine pals at the shelter. She can be a little picky with her dog friends, so please bring your pups in for a meet and greet to ensure they get along well. Charlie is pretty good at going potty outside but has had a couple of accidents at the shelter. We think in a home environment, she`ll do great! Charlie is your gal if you’re looking for a fun, energetic angel!Charlie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. You can visit this pretty girl at the shelter from 8:30 to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays through Sundays!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Belah is an adorable, sweet, and goofy pup! She’s potty-trained, crate-trained, and stays quiet while crated. She’s the best puppy and an absolute joy to be around. This lovely girl is also working through a bit of extra support for her right front leg. Belah has a condition called carpal hyperextension, which causes her leg to bend more than it should. But don’t worry—she’s a trooper! With some special care, she’s getting stronger every day. To help her out, Belah wears a soft splint on her leg during walks and playtime. Her foster family is ensuring she’s comfortable and supported, gradually increasing the time she wears the splint as she gets used to it. She’s also learning to avoid jumping off things or playing too rough to give her leg the proper time to heal. Belah is doing great with her routine, but she’ll need a family that can help her continue her rehab progress—keeping her on leash outdoors and ensuring she doesn’t overdo it. She absolutely loves being around her people and is ready to find a home that will continue to give her the love and care she deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, and strong pup who’s on her way to recovery and will be a loyal companion, Belah might just be the one for you! Belah joined us from a shelter in Hibbing, MN. Story
There are 2 huskys. They need to be together as they are siblings. We are having issues with the city and planning on relocate. They are pure breed and are fully trained. Only flaw is they are chewers, they are very smart, they know what to look for and how to sneak some stuff like human food. They are both kennel trained and sleep in the kennel all night. They love being outside in the cold, can never get them inside in the winter. They are up to date with their shots.
