FRANKIE IS CURRENTLY HOUSED AT ROCHESTER ANIMAL CONTROL- if you are interested in meeting him please apply online and we will get you an appointment. Hi there, my name is Frankie! I am here at Rochester Animal Control right now because I was found out on my own, but no one ever came to claim me. That was pretty sad, but I`ve made a lot of new friends and I really love meeting people! The officers who are taking care of me say I have the softest fur around, and that I am a big snuggle bug. I adore people and I really REALLY want a family of my own to love again. I`m a good boy and I am really hoping I can spend Christmas in my forever home. Do you think you can make my Christmas wish come true? Apply on the Paws and Claws website- I`d love to meet you! **Adoption fee: $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax **Adoption application can be found on the homepage of the website.

Story
Bandit is a true, classic Husky through and through. He is intelligent, energetic, independent, and full of personality. He thrives on activity and mental stimulation and will do best in a home that understands and appreciates typical Husky traits. Bandit needs to be the only pet in the home. He is not comfortable sharing his space with other animals, and this boundary will be important for his long term success and everyone’s safety. He would benefit from continued behavioral training and consistent structure. Bandit is best suited for an adopter with prior Husky experience who understands the breed’s needs for exercise, leadership, and enrichment. An active home where he can get plenty of physical outlets and routine will help him shine. Bandit is looking for a committed, husky experienced home that can meet his needs and give him the guidance he deserves. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Kira is a typical female husky with all the personality and energy the breed is known for. She is smart, active, and independent, and she will thrive in a home that truly understands huskies and their needs. She is both crate trained and potty trained, and her goofy, derpy personality is turned up to the max. With clear expectations, and a consistent routine, Kira is a loyal, entertaining, and fun companion for someone ready for the commitment that comes with this breed. Kira would do best as the only pet in the home. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Arlo is 10 weeks old and about 10 pounds. He is doing amazing with potty training and has been very successful being introduced to both my resident 65 pound pitbull as well as my other two fosters who are small breed, senior ladies. The resident cat gave him a little swat so he’s not so sure about her yet. So far, Arlo has been a pretty chill puppy. He likes to chew on bones and play with toys, but mostly follows me around the house. He’s very affectionate and loves being held. He protests a little when going in the crate but settles in nicely after a few minutes. As stated before, he’s doing amazing with potty training. He hasn’t had a single accident in the house and seems to already know to hold it until we go out. We always go outside as soon as he wakes up from a nap or about every two hours. Arlo is very treat motivated and has already picked up a lot from the other dogs. We’ve absolutely loved having him and his puppy antics. If you’re looking for a puppy… It doesn’t get much better than him!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: This guy is about the happiest that they come🤩 He pretty much has a permanent smile on his face 24/7 & wants to be involved in everything I do. He currently lives with my three resident dogs - ranging from 8 to 60lbs🐶 He gets along with all. Riggs especially has taken a liking to my two large dogs, who are about the same size as him. 👯‍♀️ Riggs wants to PLAY all the time, even when my two resident dogs are sleeping, he’s trying to get them to play. Riggs is fully potty trained & keeps his kennel clean.🧻 He sleeps in his kennel at night & spends time in here throughout the day while I am working as well. He will sometimes protest this for a minute or two, but then settles in & is quiet until I let him out. Occasionally you’ll hear his husky shine through & he’ll let out a good wolf-like howl🐺 This smiley boy also rides great in the car in his kennel & you’d never even know he was there🚗 While Riggs does get along great with dogs, he does have some resource guarding tendencies. This comes as not a huge surprise as he came to us from ND, where he likely had to fight to survive. This however does not define him. We’re working on getting him into a good routine of learning to love his kennel - as he needs to eat in here as well as be kenneled whenever there’s human food present as well.🍔 Riggs is the best boy & hopes to meet you soon❤️🐾

These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Say hello to Sven! He’s an estimated one-year-old husky mix from the 2025 Out of the Cold mission, and he’s been settling into foster life so well. He plays great with our energetic puppy but also loves his chill time. Sven knows sit, waits at the door, and is doing amazing with potty training. He’s gorgeous—dark coat, bright blue eyes—and is a total sweetheart with kids and new people. He’s curious about our cats and I’m not sure if a cat home would be the best for him (still unknown if he is friendly curious or cat chasing curious). He does listen when redirected. He’s learning recall and loose-leash walking and sleeps quietly in his crate all night. Sven has been such a great pup to have around, and he’s ready to bring that same joy to his forever home.
