MEET ROCKY! Potty Trained! Walks Well on Leash!Rocky is a stunning boy with a calm demeanor that sets him apart from the energetic stereotype of his breed. One of his most striking features is his beautiful, freckled face which perfectly compliments his unique personality. He is looking for a special home with someone who can understand and appreciate his specific needs. Rocky is super friendly with people and other dogs and has quickly become a staff favorite. He is fully potty trained and a complete joy to go on walks with. When it comes to mealtime, Rocky is a bit of a foodie with a discerning palate. Despite his pickiness, he`s a gentle soul who enjoys a calm and consistent routine. Rocky would also do best in a household where someone is home frequently or a household with more than one adult to keep him company. A larger home or one with a secure yard would allow him the space he needs to feel at ease and explore his surroundings. He would do best in a home without children and with someone who exhibits patience and positive reinforcement. Through he has his quirks, Rocky is a truly lovable and friendly dog who bonds deeply with those he trusts. With time and understanding he will thrive in a home that is ready to meet a unique and beautiful husky. If you`re looking for a loyal companion with a gently soul and the cutest freckles you`ve ever seen, Rocky might be the perfect match for you!Rocky is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Rocky or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, older kidsCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesWell, well, well – I see you have stumbled upon my profile. Hello! My name is Teddy (although my foster mom keeps calling me the Floofiest Floofball in all of Floofland so maybe that’s my name?) I am 7 years old and I cannot wait to find my forever family!I am a husky and I have been told I have the prettiest smile and softest fur. My foster mom keeps asking to hear my beautiful husky singing, but I’ve been too shy to show her my skills so far. Eating is my favorite activity (though the vet says I need to cut back on the snacking, oops). Once I trust my humans, I will stick to them like glue. I am more than happy to lay around on my bed all day, but the second you get up I want to be where the people are and will follow you wherever you are going.I love going on walks and I have been told I have spectacular leash skills. New people make me nervous, so I do best when meeting them in neutral spaces where I can decide to approach them on my own terms. But once we are friends, we are friends for life (especially if you give me treats). I thrive best in an environment that provides structure and reinforces boundaries. I like it when the humans in my life show me that they are in charge because it makes me feel taken care of and I know I don’t have to worry about anything because they will advocate for me out in the world.I am fully house trained and crate trained, although sometimes I like to hit you with the sad eye smolder so you give me a little treat for going in my crate. I already know basic commands like sit and stay. I’m a really smart boy and can’t wait to learn more with you! I am hoping to find a single-family home with a confident adopter who has experience owning dogs. Okay I think that’s it for now. Like, follow, and subscribe for more. Or just write an email to our Adoptions team! They can help you get connected with my agent to set up time for a meeting. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Unknown, likely yesCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesNorii is one pretty pup with virtually an all-white coat and a truly unique singular black ear marking. In true husky fashion, she loves the great outdoors for some zoomies in the snow and has been known to drag a blanket outside for a cozy snooze. She has also taken up marathon training in Massachusetts and loves going on runs with her foster family. Norii thrives on playing with interactive toys and would benefit from living in a home that can keep her busy. She loves to romp with other dogs and the siestas that follow. She lived with several while in foster care and did great with them all! Norii loves every single person she has met and is learning to not smother everyone with exuberant hugs. She has not had any exposure to kids, but her sweet and playful nature suggests she would be a great fit for a family with dog-savvy kids. Due to her sporadic bursts of energy and playful disposition a home with smaller kiddos might not be ideal. She’s seen cats and has had zero reaction so cohabitation would most likely not be an issue.Norii is house-trained and crate-trained, but thrives on routine. She sleeps in her crate and happily hangs out in there during the day when her foster family is out. However, her favorite activity is seeing what her people are up to and she loves to be included on all adventures, and bonus points she's a quiet gal who's happy to tag along for the ride. A curious floofer, her foster family is working on her leash skills and she is showing great progress. She’s a smart cookie and extremely food motivated so closing the gap on any training should be fun and quick.Norii is the perfect mix of feisty, fun, and chill and can’t wait to find her forever home! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Cassi is a 4yo husky that was found on the streets of Denver, CO. She was adopted from a shelter there and moved to the east coast. She is good in cars! Unfortunately her owner isn't able to care for her due to moving/housing. We offered to foster her until she can find a forever home. We have never had a dog before, we have two cats. Cassi is very chill, she does not "talk/howl" like a typical husky. She only barks (but it is loud) when the mail comes or a stranger approaches the house. She is nervous around people wearing dark sunglasses indoors (aren't we all?). She is house trained and can stay home alone with no issues. She is does not get into any trouble. She loves being in proximity to her family. She loves walks, sometimes she barks at other big dogs, but she is VERY food motivated and wants to behave appropriately. She is newly crate trained. She loves our cats but they want nothing to do with her. She loves to play catch and rope tug. She needs a home that loves dogs!
