Story
Meet Fiji! This lovely boy came to us from Georgia, he was very much loved by his family, but life has unexpected moments, and they were no longer able to keep him by their side. Fiji is 2 years old, his mother being a Siberian husky and his father a white bulldog mix. His previous family has said that he is crate trained but spending long periods of time alone makes him anxious. Which we have also noticed for his stay here, he has some separation anxiety when left alone in his kennel. He answers commands like, Come, Sit, Shake, Bed, and even stands on his back legs for treats! He does well with other dogs, and had previously lived with cats, and children - and would benefit from having some other animal friend in the house if you spend more time away than at home. Story
Meet Sysco! A spirited two-and-a-half-year-old Siberian Husky currently in Hamden, CT, whose essence is a whirlwind of energy wrapped in a striking red and white coat, with eyes that sparkle with curiosity and loyalty. Built for movement and full of heart, Sysco is the definition of an adventure buddy! Whether he's darting across a yard in full sprint, diving into a game of fetch, or challenging you to an epic round of tug of war, this boy lives for activity. He’s also got a soft side, after a long day of play, he’s all about snuggling up with his favorite stuffed animal (or your arm, if you’ll allow it) for some well-earned cuddle time. Smart and eager to please, Sysco knows several commands like sit, paw, boop, and lay down. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ready for his next chapter with a family who can provide structure, love, and lots of play. While he’s comfortable being alone for short periods, his true happiness shines brightest when he’s with people who make him feel safe. Sysco is still working on his confidence and trust, especially with men, but he's made encouraging progress with patient, gentle guidance. He bonds quickly with women and thrives with consistency, positive reinforcement, and routines like his twice-daily meals and cozy kennel bedtime. Loud noises, sudden movements, and especially food are triggers for him, and he needs a compassionate home that understands these sensitivities. He can be protective of his food around unfamiliar people, especially men, so a home with adults or older teens who are experienced or willing to learn is ideal. While he hasn’t had many opportunities to mingle with other dogs or cats he's shown some anxiety, but never aggression, around other pups. He’ll need continued socialization and confidence-building to help him flourish. With the right balance of patience, structure, and affection, Sysco’s loyalty knows no bounds! Could you be the one to help this intelligent, affectionate, and beautiful Husky continue to blossom? If you’re ready for the joy of a lifetime, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and let the next great adventure begin!

Story
Jaxon has been with us since he was a puppy. He has grown a lot and is very excitable and full of energy. He loves to play with bubbles and sprinklers in the summer time. He enjoys trips to the dog park and socializing. He is an outdoorsy dog who loves exploring and chasing butterflies or playing in the snow. However with another baby on the way and my husband working a lot during the week. We are unable to give Jaxon everything he needs to be the best version of himself. He needs lots of space to run and play and someone who has the time to give him all the attention and training he needs. The goal is to find him a better fitting home. He gets along well with our other smaller dog, our cat and our young daughter. Would love to set up a meet and greet for anyone interested, looking forward to receiving your applications.

Story
I got June from Bee Pawsitive in TX animal rescue when he was 4 months old. He was born on April 02, 2023. June and I moved to Boston and currently live in Medford, MA Unfortunately, due to life circumstances and a family member I need to take care for who has allergies, I am seeking a new home for June. June loves people and pets alike. He is highly energetic and generally a very happy dog. He is always excited to go to the park to run and play with other dogs. He is great with children and cats too. His vaccinations are up to date and he is a sweet boy well house trained. He is also crate trained.
