Look no further than Cheese Cake. She is very social and loves greeting people when out and about. Cheese Cake would make a great companion for hiking and exploring, but also enjoys cuddling up next to you (or another dog) on the couch! She is a spunky, sweet girl who is great with dogs, cats, and kids. She does great with other pups after a proper introduction, as she is shy at first but warms up quickly to new friends. Cheese Cake largely ignores indoor cats, so she'd be fine with or without a cat sibling. She loves to hop in the car for adventures, play with kids, and zoomies around the yard. This silly girl likes to show off the songs of her people when she’s excited so would do best in a home without sensitive neighbors! If you love watching videos of huskies talk and wish you had one to make you laugh in your home, she’s your girl! Cheese Cake is a great work from home buddy. She’s happy to curl up on a dog bed for the whole day. She settles quickly in her crate and is perfect when crated overnight. She is working on her leash manners but is already starting to improve with consistency! Perpetually happy, the pitter patter of Cheese Cakes’s feet as she prances about is undeniably adorable - are you ready to welcome this girl home? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.November 14, 2024, 12:20 am

Story
MEET BLUEY! No apartments please! This handsome boy is everything you’d expect from a Husky – playful, independent, and full of life. His energy levels are high, so he needs an active household where he can burn off all that Husky enthusiasm. A daily walk or hike is a must for this guy, and if you’re into running, he may just be your next running buddy! As a true Husky, Bluey is not shy about using his voice! His howls are a typical Husky trait – loud, expressive, and definitely hard to miss. If you`re in an apartment or a quiet neighborhood, Bluey’s vocalizations may not be the best fit. Bluey would do best with a dog-savvy owner who can provide structure and boundaries while also giving him plenty of love and affection. He’ll need someone who’s prepared for his high energy and who appreciates the unique qualities that make Huskies, well, Huskies – their intelligence, independence, and love for outdoor fun. Bluey is waiting at our Boston Adoption Center to meet his new best friend – maybe you?Bluey is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Bluey or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Story
We got Ozzie at the MSPCA in Jamaica Plain. He is 6 months old (born on 4/27/24), 43 lbs, with a great personality! When he meets people he'll wag his tail vigorously, go right up to them, sometimes he'll lick them or turn on his back so he can get his belly rubbed. We have no concerns about him around other people or other dogs, it seems like he is always happy. He is a great looking dog, with beautiful sky blue eyes, and a strong body. He's getting stronger every day. His new home should not have any other dogs or cats. Due to his strength and playful nature he sometimes plays rough with smaller animals and he always wants to play which can be annoying for cats. He is an active dog with alot of energy. He loves to jog with me, run around outside, and play with the dogs off leash at the dog park. He is a lovable animal and we hope he finds his new home.

Story
Meet Tara, a beautiful brindle girl with the sweetest soul Tara is a pretty shy puppy , but is making incredible progress every day. She’s learning how to walk on a leash and has mastered crate time—she sleeps through the night without making a peep. Tara has even started sitting for treats, showing just how smart she is When she first arrived, every little noise startled her, but she’s slowly becoming brave and learning to take new experiences in stride. No need to `curb your enthusiam,` it`s Larry David... the dog! This big guy is quite the looker. While he may dazzle you with his beautiful white fur and sparkling blue eyes, he`s also a sweetheart! He enjoys going on walks and getting goofy with his friends! While he can be slow to warm up to new folks, your time and patience will pay off with this pup! Larry David is looking for an adopter that can handle his big personality... and even bigger size! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
