Story
Tobi is a spunky guy with lots of energy and personality to match! He loves to run around in the yard and does a good job of entertaining himself by throwing his toys around. Tobi seems to like other dogs, but can be a bit too much for them, so helping him find appropriate friends will be a good idea. He has also lived with kids, but can be a bit of a bulldozer. Tobi would likely do well in a home that can continue to work on his training and give him structure in his life. If you are looking for a friend to keep you entertained and active Tobi could be the guy for you!If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Huskies are free-spirited, athletic, playful, and light on their feet. Theylove being outdoors and require significant daily exercise. That describesour boy Johnny. This dog is an all-around good natured, good looking, goodtiming good boy. He is rather chatty and has been known to break into songon occasion. He is also house trained, although he may need a quickrefresher after being here at the shelter. We think that Johnny could livewith a well-matched dog friend using lots of management. He could possiblylive with a cat starting with complete separation. And he could go to ahome with children that will participate in his training. As delightful ashe is, Johnny could use a little work in his polite leash walking skills.Johnny has been through many changes recently and will need the first fewweeks to decompress and settle in. Do you think Johnny is the dog foryou? Come meet this good boy at the MSPCA in Methuen. Open hours areTuesdays through Sundays from 12PM to 4:30PM.

Story
Hazel is a 2 year old beautiful, affectionate dog who loves her people, is smart, professionally trained, food motivated, and enjoys the outdoors. She comes when called, does her tricks, does well on+off leash, loves attention from all people, and has excellent house manners. She has been a loyal and quiet work from home companion. She would just as happily sleep in and sit under the desk of her person as go on a long hike or run. She lives with a cat who she is friendly with. Due to her early life before adoption, Hazel is protective of high value toys and food and guards against other dogs, which can be negated by removing said item. Hazel’s response to new dogs when not under leash or voice command can be unpredictable. Unfortunately, Hazel’s prey drive and inexperience with babies has led us to look into rehoming. She would do best in a home with no babies/toddlers. She would love to have outdoor access and an active owner with patience/comfort with her response to new dogs.

Story
**MEET ME AT OUR 2/2 ADOPTION EVENT IN MARBLEHEAD!**Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, older kidsCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesWell, well, well – I see you have stumbled upon my profile. Hello! My name is Teddy (although my foster mom keeps calling me the Floofiest Floofball in all of Floofland so maybe that’s my name?) I am 7 years old and I cannot wait to find my forever family!I am a husky and I have been told I have the prettiest smile and softest fur. My foster mom keeps asking to hear my beautiful husky singing, but I’ve been too shy to show her my skills so far. Eating is my favorite activity (though the vet says I need to cut back on the snacking, oops). Once I trust my humans, I will stick to them like glue. I am more than happy to lay around on my bed all day, but the second you get up I want to be where the people are and will follow you wherever you are going.I love going on walks and I have been told I have spectacular leash skills. New people make me nervous, so I do best when meeting them in neutral spaces where I can decide to approach them on my own terms. But once we are friends, we are friends for life (especially if you give me treats). I thrive best in an environment that provides structure and reinforces boundaries. I like it when the humans in my life show me that they are in charge because it makes me feel taken care of and I know I don’t have to worry about anything because they will advocate for me out in the world.I am fully house trained and crate trained, although sometimes I like to hit you with the sad eye smolder so you give me a little treat for going in my crate. I already know basic commands like sit and stay. I’m a really smart boy and can’t wait to learn more with you! I am hoping to find a single-family home with a confident adopter who has experience owning dogs. Okay I think that’s it for now. Like, follow, and subscribe for more. Or just write an email to our Adoptions team! They can help you get connected with my agent to set up time for a meeting. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.January 27, 2025, 11:01 am
