Story
Luke lives in Vt, I adopted Luke in Aug 2023 when my previous dog died. He was tied up to a trailer park with no food or water. He is about 4 yrs old 40 lbs. I am soon to be 65yrs old, still working, and feel Luke needs a better home than what he has. A home with kids, other dogs, and more activity. He has medium energy. He is very affectionate, loves to snuggle, very soft, and you can see has the most beautiful blue eyes. He is eager to please and a very happy dog. After work I try to take him to the dog park or the cemetery where he runs alongside my car for exercise. I make sure he runs every day. I have a fenced in yard with a doggie door, but I feel he's bored. He loves to run and play with other dogs but doesn't like Husky's or German Shepards and has a few dog park fights. He loves kids but needs a day to get use to them, then he's fine. Same with men, he can be a little skittish but then warms up after day. I have two Chihuahuas and they pick on him at times.

Story
Hey there, my name is Machiavelli, or Machi for short! I`m a high-octane guy who loves to play and GO! I`d make an excellent running buddy and hiking companion for my future owner since I like nothing more than to be out and about on adventures regularly. I can settle nicely at home with my people once my exercise needs are met. I need a home without kids though, as I can be very exuberant with how I show affection. Preferably, I`d be an only fur-child, but can have doggie playdates with other dogs that can keep up with my enthusiasm for play and activity. I find cats to be just TOO much fun to chase, so a home without them would be best. I`m food motivated, and learning new things is a breeze for me since I`m also quite an intelligent guy, if I do say so myself! If I sound like a good fit for you and your family, please call the kennel staff at (413) 447-7878 ext.126 to find more about how to adopt me!

We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Story
Welcome Maz to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Maz is a 5 month old pup that is Husky/Staffordshire Terrier. A picture of the mom and dad are available. Both are very friendly and social dogs. The pups would be good with children. We like them to be 8 or older. The unspayed female was around the male and in just minutes she was pregnant with 10 puppies. These 5 are still available for adoption. All have had 3 rounds of puppy shots, microchipped and will be altered before adoption. Their mom is 65 pounds so we think these pups will be 65 pounds. They know sit, wait and are the ultimate water dogs. They like to play and swim in the foster’s swimming pool. They would all make great camping companions. They love other dogs and all people including kiddos. They have the bushy coat like the Husky and several of them have ice-blue eyes. Maz is the biggest female. She is 3nd biggest in the litter. She is relaxed and one of the least vocal. She is a nice girl and since he is the biggest girl we think he will for sure be 65 pounds. She is mostly potty trained but will need more consistency than the foster can provide with 4 puppies. They are good in a crate and in a car. They are currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get any of this litter (2 girls and 2 boys) to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
