Story
Monte is a sweet, 4 year old husky/cattle dog mix. He loves people, playing outside, going for walks, and snoozing next to you on the couch (and of course his favorite thing in the world, eating). Monte was adopted from the Northeast Animal Shelter when he was 4 months old. He was displaced from his original home in Texas, we believe as a result of the freezing which occurred in Texas during that time which caused many homes to flood. With a new baby on the way, we are unfortunately able to keep Monte. While he is a sweet boy, he does not like it when people take his food or toys away from him, and we are worried this may be an issue with a toddler. He does have an history of a bite incident which we believe was entirely preventable (someone tried to take his food away). We worked with a very reputable trainer who also supports that does not display any tendencies of an aggressive dog, and any behavior should be entirely manageable by an experienced dog owner.

MEET FETTUCCINE!Fettuccine is a 1 year old Labrador Retreiver mix! This sweet girl made the long journey from Florida to make room for other friends in need! She is now with ARL and is ready to find her forever home! Fettuccine is a love bug, and she is very food motivated! We aren`t too sure with her history, but she likes to play with other dogs, likes squeaky toys and enjoys running around outside. Fettuccine will need some help learning manners and leash training, and we reccomend that she be in a home with no children because she can get jumpy/mouthy! If you`re interested in Fettuccine please call or stop by the Dedham shelter! Fettuccine is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Fettuccine or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, older kidsCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesWell, well, well – I see you have stumbled upon my profile. Hello! My name is Teddy (although my foster mom keeps calling me the Floofiest Floofball in all of Floofland so maybe that’s my name?) I am almost 7 years old – in fact, my birthday is January 2nd and my only birthday wish this year is to find my forever family!I am a husky and I have been told I have the prettiest smile and softest fur. My foster mom keeps asking to hear my beautiful husky singing, but I’ve been too shy to show her my skills so far. Eating is my favorite activity (though the vet says I need to cut back on the snacking, oops). Once I trust my humans, I will stick to them like glue. I am more than happy to lay around on my bed all day, but the second you get up I want to be where the people are and will follow you wherever you are going.I love going on walks and I have been told I have spectacular leash skills. New people make me nervous, so I do best when meeting them in neutral spaces where I can decide to approach them on my own terms. But once we are friends, we are friends for life (especially if you give me treats). I thrive best in an environment that provides structure and reinforces boundaries. I like it when the humans in my life show me that they are in charge because it makes me feel taken care of and I know I don’t have to worry about anything because they will advocate for me out in the world.I am fully house trained and crate trained, although sometimes I like to hit you with the sad eye smolder so you give me a little treat for going in my crate. I already know basic commands like sit and stay. I’m a really smart boy and can’t wait to learn more with you! I am hoping to find a single-family home with a confident adopter who has experience owning dogs. Okay I think that’s it for now. Like, follow, and subscribe for more. Or just write an email to our Adoptions team! They can help you get connected with my agent to set up time for a meeting. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.December 28, 2024, 1:03 am

Story
I'm Alaska, a beautiful year-old Husky/Shepherd mix. I was picked up running around a trailer park, and I came right to my rescuers. I'm a very people-focused girl who loves affection. I'm friendly and sweet, and I get along with other dogs. I love playing in the snow! I do have several scars from unknown injuries; since no hair is growing back, the vet thinks it was from an injury as a puppy. I would probably be best in a family with teenagers and up due to my scars, but despite my challenging past, I am a playful, outgoing dog who will make my forever family very happy. Won't you give me the loving home I deserve? Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you.
