Story
Princess is an energetic young husky puppy who still has a lot to learn! While she can be sweet, she's not much of a cuddler and would much rather zoom around the yard--or your living room! She is possessive of bones and toys, but she loves to play and will eagerly trade one toy for another toy of equal or higher value. OTHER PETS: Princess got along well with other dogs, though she is very vocal when inviting play! She would likely do best with a tolerant, socialized dog who can give appropriate feedback. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Someone who has experience with high-energy breeds and dogs that resource guard would be ideal for Princess. She's still young and has a lot to learn through positive reinforcement training. [Experienced] KIDS: Princess is a resource guarder with her possessions--including treats, bones, and her toys. It's important that she is left alone if she is given any kind of food resource, so a home with only adults who can understand and respect her boundaries would be ideal to prevent an unnecessary sense of conflict. [Adults Only] ACTIVITY LEVEL:Huskies are high energy dogs that need both physical exercise and mental stimulation daily. Princess is no exception, and will need healthy ways to channel her energy--including mental enrichment--to ensure that she does not create her own entertainment. Some activities Princess might enjoy are: multiple daily walks, hiking, puzzle boxes, treat puzzles, or even dog sports with further positive reinforcement training. [Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Princess is still at the beginning of her positive reinforcement training journey, and will do best learning with someone who can offer patience as she builds confidence. Positive reinforcement training will help Princess not only learn her basic cues & skills, but also help her to bond with her new owner as well. [Moderate] GROOMING: Regular brushing will help keep Princess's coat clean and matt-free-- huskies blow their coats twice a year, and many owners choose to have a professional groomer help with the extra shedding. Story
Meet Zeke!! This loving, energetic and handsome guy was a local pull in CT. He moved here from Arizona with his owner and then she surrendered him due to her getting two jobs. Zeke needed more attention. Fetching Hearts Rescue took him into a foster home, where he would know what love was and gets to play. Zeke loves playing with his dog friends and playing ball. Tennis balls are his favorite!! He is just a happy soul with a fantastic personality. Zeke is cratetrained, knows some commands like sit and shake. He does know his name, so his name will not be able to be changed. Zeke wants to please his humans and is super smart!!!! Very gentle with his food and no aggression what so ever. When he gets excited, he will get mouthy with you, so this is why we say older kids. He is learning though that he can't be mouthy and jumpy. Zeke would love a family to take him on hikes or runs daily. He walks great on leash overall. He also would love a fenced yard to do his zoomies and play with his friends. Zeke deserves nothing but the absolute best!!! He has so much love to give!!! He cannot wait to have fun with his new family exploring the world. Apply today!!!! If interested in Zeke, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com. Calm, mellow, low maintenance. Well-socialized, friendly, sweet temperament.  Good with other dogs. Great with kids and grew up with children in his original family. Not recommended for cats because he likes to chase them. Medium energy level outside, quiet and well-mannered in the house.  Crate trained and housebroken. Uses the doggy door. Obeys basic commands.  Loves to be with his people.  Good on a leash, rides great in the car.  Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, neutered, weighs about 60 pounds.  AWESOME young husky will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner!)  for an active family with kids who loves the breed. He is neutered and UTD on all shots including rabies and so ready to meet his new family and fur-ever home. Neptune is very playful, he likes his humans, loves belly rubs and ear scratches. He has very keen sense of smell. He knows paw or both , sit, stay and lay down. He is not very vocal like typical Huskies and won’t be howling all day.
