Story
Meet Arlo!Arlo is a stunningly handsome and large mixed breed dog clocking in at approximately 70 pounds! He came to us from an Animal Control facility where he stayed for a month or so. Information about his history is limited but we do know he has been around the block a bit moving from home to home so we are glad that he finally landed on our doorstep and we have the opportunity to find him a forever person! From what we`ve learned here about Arlo is that he enjoys the company of people and other dogs. He`s pulls on leash but we are working with him on that. He enjoys learning new things especially when learning is accompanied by high value, delicious treats! We don`t know exactly what his breed mix is but we do know that he howls in the kennel when he gets lonely and wiggles his entire body when people approach his kennel! Arlo also thoroughly enjoys playing with other dogs! Its fun to watch him adjust his play style based on the size and play style of the other dog. If you are looking for a large, mixed breed, gorgeous boy to show off to all your friends then Arlo fits the bill! Please come by our Dedham location to meet him - he will not dissappoint!Arlo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Arlo or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: YesCrate trained: Yes House Trained: YesCheese Cake is a spunky, sweet girl who is great with dogs and kids! She loves to go on rides, play with kids and hang out on the porch. When she's excited, she gets the cutest zoomies around the house. She would make a great companion for hiking and exploring, but also enjoys chilling on the couch after exercise. Cheese Cake settles quickly in her crate with a toy or a bone and is perfect when crated overnight. She is fully house trained with a regular routine. Cheesecake is working on her leash manners but is already starting to improve with consistency! Could she be the pup for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.November 5, 2024, 1:17 am
