Story

Shadow is a 5 year old all white female husky with a lot of energy, she is bonded to her sister Storm (6y/o also looking to be adopted) and would most likely not do well if separated but willing to be adopted solo. She is very excitable and enjoys spending as much of her day outside as she can. She is about 45lbs of fluff and house trained although occasionally has accidents and can be behavioral. Shadow is medicated and on Prozac which she takes once a day with her food for depression. She does well with small children and has never shown any signs of aggression.

Story

Storm is a 6 y/o grey and white Siberian Huskey (45lbs). She is bonded to her sister Shadow (5 y/o also looking to be adopted) and most likely will not do well if separated but willing to be adopted solo. She is very well behaved, and house trained. Storm is always happy and enjoys playing outside with her sister but can also be calm and enjoys cuddles. She does well with children and other dogs but can be food aggressive and gets upset if her sister steals her treats.

We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed.Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.

Hazel is a 2 year old beautiful, affectionate dog who loves her people, is smart, professionally trained, food motivated, and enjoys the outdoors. She comes when called, does her tricks, does well on+off leash, loves attention from all people, and has excellent house manners. She has been a loyal and quiet work from home companion. She would just as happily sleep in and sit under the desk of her person as go on a long hike or run. She lives with a cat who she is friendly with. Due to her early life before adoption, Hazel is protective of high value toys and food and guards against other dogs, which can be negated by removing said item. Hazel’s response to new dogs when not under leash or voice command can be unpredictable. Unfortunately, Hazel’s prey drive and inexperience with babies has led us to look into rehoming. She would do best in a home with no babies/toddlers. She would love to have outdoor access and an active owner with patience/comfort with her response to new dogs.

Meet Yeti! This handsome boy is currently spending time in a foster home so he is not here at the shelter. Yeti is a 3 month old handsome husky boy is as sweet as they come and has brought us many smiles here at CAAA! Yeti has some issues with his back legs, and his condition causes them to give out frequently and he will walk by dragging his back legs along at times, and sometimes using them to hop along. Despite his difficulties walking, Yeti has never once let his condition hold him back and his zest for life always shines through! Yeti still loves playing, hangin` outside in the yard, getting treats, and pretty much all the things any normal pup would enjoy! Yeti has also been working hard at learning to move with his `wheelchair;` a pair of wheels which attaches to his back legs and helps him zoom around with the speed that he`s craving! For one so young, Yeti has had to overcome some real challenges in his life, but his ability to never let anything hold him back makes him an inspiration to all pups and people alike!
