I love to walk on a leash, but I will need someone strong themselves to help me learn my manners as I just want to go go go, and no one has taught me much yet. My friends here at KCHS are trying, and I am starting to get the idea, but I am a big powerful boy so it is going to take some learnin’. With my striking blue eyes and beautiful yellow coat, it is likely that I will be sought after as the cover model for Hoof and Hound magazine when I wear my new PJs out and about. Guppie is well socialized; is friendly but not over exuberant when meeting people, dogs, and cyclists while hiking. Because of his breeds he needs a very active home that can provide at least an hour a day of running, hiking, biking, or swimming. If he doesn't get enough exercise he will be destructive in the home. Guppie is a working/sport dog that would thrive if given a job to do and a person to do it with. He would excel in sports like canicross, bikejoring, dock diving, or nose work; anything that allows him to run or swim and work together with his human.

This kid is about four years old and relies on other dogs to help show him the way. He is a lovebug once he accepts you as his. He lives with two other medium to large dogs and has learned to take cues from them when he is a bit rambunctious. He knows many helpful things like sit, stay, wait, leave it, with me and lay; though he still needs reminders sometimes. He even knows how to catch treatos flying his way! Kavik is looking for someone to continue to help him be brave and accept that there are some things that are a no fly zone without buckets of trust. We take him to All Dogs for baths and nails as they are not his favorite thing. He does great with kennel up at night and while we are gone; I wouldn't suggest free roaming as he might get bored and find something to get in trouble with. He has shown no tendencies to jump fence and run and has a 5' chain at the house. So, while he can jump like a kangaroo, he is content to stay home. He lived with a cat for awhile, but it was her time to cross the rainbow bridge, so he could use a bit more cat testing. He hasn't shown any guarding tendencies with food or toys other than he likes to steal his sisters toys/bones so she can steal them right back.

Hazel is looking for a forever home. She is dog and kid friendly, sweet and sassy ball of energy. She LOVES to play and run. Zoomies are her favorite pastime, her play style is rough and tumble, and she enjoys destuffing all of her toys. Even with her higher energy level, Hazel is great about reading the room and will settle down when everyone else has so she can chill on the couch with you. Hazel would do best in a home with another submissive dog due to her dominant personality, but she has gotten along great with other dogs as long as her boundaries are respected and she’s properly introduced. She’s kennel and potty trained, walks pretty well on a leash with some pulling here and there, and loves her people. Hazel starts out a little cautious of men, but warms up quickly! She will need a home that will ensure they can keep her safe. She has managed to get out of the yard by climbing the fence so she will require a 6 foot fence at minimum.

Hi there! They call me Ghost but I'm not scary at all! My adoption fee has been sponsored, which is an extra bonus! I'm a sweet, smart, playful boy whose silly antics will keep a smile on your face. When I was brought into care, I had been chained to a dog house in a muddy backyard 24/7. Probably because of my rough start in life, I can be a little shy around new people. Once I warm up though, I'm an incredibly affectionate boy. I really enjoy being around kids and do very well with them. I do well with the other dog in my foster home. While out walking, if I see another dog I may pull on the leash, bark and try to get in their space, so I'll need someone patient to continue helping me with leash walking. If you have another fur baby we can meet to make sure we'll be a good match. I'm crate-trained, potty-trained, and ready to find my furever humans. I'm an energetic boy, so an active home would be perfect for me! My special talent is jumping even 6-foot fences, so I need to be tethered to keep me safe.
